CURRICULAR DESIGN AND TEACHING
Oversee the development and delivery of an integrated curriculum in foundational sciences.
Develop and deliver pre-matriculation content that supports student success in the early medical school curriculum.
Develop and deliver a course for USMLE Step 1 preparation.
Develop and deliver a course for USMLE Step 2 preparation.
Ensure students have sufficient curricular and co-curricular content that is appropriate and well-aligned with USMLE and NBME content specifications.
Champion and facilitate basic science-clinical science integration throughout the curriculum.
Provide leadership in identification and problem-solving of student and faculty challenges with curricular content.
ACADEMIC SUCCESS TEAM LEADERSHIP
Lead a team of faculty assigned to advise and tutor students at risk.
Assist students who seek help and/or face challenges in the M1 and M2 academic years including preparation for USMLE licensure exams.
CURRICULUM LEADERSHIP
Serve as administrative chair of the Pre-Clerkship Curriculum Sub-Committee.
Advise M1 and M2 course directors with respect to content and format alignment with USMLE examinations.

Associate Dean for Medical Education

The Department of Biology at California State University San Bernardino invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Biology with research expertise in organismal plant biology with an emphasis on structure and function to begin August 2024. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Biology has 17 tenure-track/tenured faculty with a variety of research interests, as well as lecturers and technicians who provide pivotal support. The department offers undergraduate and graduate programs. The department has facilities for 3D printing, cell culture and stem cell research, animal care, and plant growth. The CSUSB herbarium hosts a small collection (about 4,000 specimens) of mostly local flora. The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. About the Positions
To meet areas of university strategic growth in global graduate education and impact, New hires will join an excellent, experienced and dynamic faculty and staff highly committed to exceptional education and student experience, the School for Professional Studies at Saint Louis University is seeking multiple, full-time faculty in the areas of information systems, cybersecurity, analytics, research methods and related disciplines.
All are open-rank, non-tenure track full-time faculty positions, with a nine-month contract running from August to May (renewed annually, with multi-year contracts possible after the first year). Candidates will teach up to seven graduate-level courses during the daytime with the bulk of the teaching occurring on campus. However, there is the possibility to teach select online sections if need dictates. There are also potential summer, flexible, online teaching opportunities.
As these are primarily teaching roles, research is supported but not required. However, active researchers and those with grants may be eligible for a reduction in teaching load.
