Presently, CCS is seeking an experienced, Financial Specialist II to join our Syracuse, NY based Finance Team team. 
The Financial Specialist II is responsible for gathering and monitoring financial data, preparing accurate grant billing and reconciliations under the direction of the Finance Director, assist in conducting internal audits, and ensure compliance with accounting regulations and support the agency’s financial decisions. 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Assist the Finance Director with all aspects of the agency’s fiscal operation and payroll and benefits administration in compliance with agency Finance Policies &amp; Procedures and GAAP.</li>
<li>Assist the Finance Director with providing necessary documents for the annual agency independent financial audit.</li>
<li>Assist the Financial Director with the preparation of the agency annual budget.</li>
<li>Maintain a written chart of accounts developed by the Finance Director.</li>
<li>Maintain agency accounting information system and ensures software updates are implemented.</li>
<li>Post required journal entries, created by the Finance Director, prepares formal written reconciliations of balance sheet accounts monthly.</li>
<li>Review aged accounts receivable and brings overdue accounts to the attention of the Finance Director for further action.</li>
<li>Prepare annual 1099 reports and filings, maintains the customer W-9 information.</li>
<li>Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis and ensure accuracy of financial data.</li>
<li>Reconciles agency bank accounts.</li>
<li>Prepare monthly contract voucher billings and accounts receivable sales invoices.</li>
<li>Maintains accounts payable records and assists with month-end closing tasks.</li>
<li>Manage agency purchasing activities, including creating purchase orders and obtaining quotes.</li>
<li>Monitor vendor contracts and ensure purchases comply with internal and external policies.</li>
<li>Track deliveries, match purchase orders with invoices, and resolve discrepancies.</li>
<li>Collaborate with program directors to understand procurement needs and maintain cost-effective purchasing.</li>

Requirements
Qualifications:

<li>Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration</li>
<li>2 years’ accounting and budgeting experience</li>
<li>Proficiency in accounting information systems, Excel and MS Office</li>
<li>Mastery of accounting practices and procedure including experience in budget development</li>

Finance &amp; Accounting Specialist 
$65k - 90k/year – Hybrid (Wauwatosa, WI) – Full-Time 
This is a hybrid position, all candidates must be able to work onsite at our Wauwatosa or Germantown, WI offices as needed. 
 
BIM Technology Management (BIMTM) is hiring a Finance &amp; Accounting Specialist to help strengthen and streamline our financial operations as we continue to grow. This role will work closely with our Accounting Director and leadership team to bring structure, accuracy, and clarity to our financial systems, reporting, and processes. 
We are currently implementing Unanet ERP, building project-based financial workflows, and refining how we track performance across multiple service lines. We need someone experienced, organized, and proactive who can manage the day-to-day financial operations while helping us build for the future. 
This position has the potential to grow into a more senior or executive-level financial role over time, once the foundation is established and trust is built within the organization. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
Financial Management 
<ul>
<li>Support development of annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning </li>
<li>Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and KPI summaries for leadership </li>
<li>Assist with refining project-based costing and margin analysis </li>
<li>Help ensure financial accuracy across departments, including sales, operations, and project teams </li>
</ul>
Accounting Oversight 
<ul>
<li>Manage AP, AR, invoicing, payroll processing, reconciliations, and month-end close </li>
<li>Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP </li>
<li>Assist Accounting Director with year-end financials and tax preparation coordination </li>
<li>Monitor billing cycles and ensure timely collections </li>

Systems &amp; Process Improvement

<li>Support the Unanet ERP implementation, including data validation, workflow setup, and team adoption </li>
<li>Improve and standardize processes across invoicing, timekeeping, expense reporting, and financial controls </li>
<li>Strengthen cross-department communication around financial expectations and timelines </li>
</ul>
Operational &amp; Business Support 
<ul>
<li>Partner with Operations to improve project tracking, forecasting, and financial visibility </li>
<li>Support pricing models, estimating structures, and service profitability analysis </li>
<li>Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend improvements </li>
<li>Assist leadership with financial modeling and scenario planning </li>
</ul>
 Requirements
Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>5–10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations </li>
<li>Strong understanding of GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and project costing </li>
<li>Experience in construction, engineering, or other project-based industries is a significant plus </li>
<li>Experience with Unanet ERP or similar systems is highly preferred </li>
<li>Strong communication skills; able to work across operations, accounting, and leadership </li>
<li>Comfortable in a growing small-business environment with evolving processes </li>
