Functions as the Medical Secretary at MOC-470 (2 Dudley St.) and reports to the office supervisor/practice manager. Primary responsibility is to provide medical secretarial support in the practice. 
Works with physicians, secretarial and clinical staff to facilitate patient-centered care. Proficiency using computer software, electronic medical records, and practice management systems for appointment scheduling. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides patients and families with a welcoming professional demeanor.

This role is primarily focused on managing prior authorizations for procedures, with additional responsibilities in patient scheduling, insurance verification, and communication with healthcare facilities.
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of insurance verification and prior authorization processes.</li>
<li>Proficiency in EPIC or similar EMR systems.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.</li>
<li>Prior experience in a cardiology or electrophysiology setting is a plus.</li>
</ul>
Additional Skills &amp; Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Must have at least high school diploma.</li>
<li>Must have at least 3-5+ years of medical admin assistant/secretary II/III or back office prior authorization experience (within rev cycle or a practice).</li>
<li>Previous EPIC experience highly preferred, BUT it is not a must.</li>
<li>Must have great customer service skills</li>
<li>Must be familiar with the insurance/pre-authorization process.</li>
<li>Experience within cardiology is a plus.</li>
</ul>
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
