POSITION SUMMARY
The Charge Nurse is responsible for directing and overseeing the daily activities of the unit on an assigned shift.
<ol>
<li>Coordinates and directs the daily patient care operations of the unit.</li>
<li>Analyzes workloads and skill requirements to meet patient care needs.</li>
<li>Assesses staff competencies and makes patient care assignments.</li>
<li>Delegates appropriate tasks to appropriate personnel, consistent with legal and professional guidelines and departmental standards.</li>
<li>Maintains clear communications with the DON or RN Supervisor regarding unit needs and/or incidents.</li>
<li>Serves as a resource person on the unit.</li>
<li>Assists with patients care as needed.</li>
<li>Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.</li>
<li>Performs related duties as required.</li>
<li>May be required to be on standby and work extended shifts in situation deemed necessary by a designated DON.</li>
</ol>
TRAVEL: Minimal travel required.
LICENSING: Current state nursing license
CERTIFICATION: Current CPR certification
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years clinical experience

About The Role Part-time 2:30pm-11:00pm As a Charge Nurse at Belmont Village, you will administer medications, support wellness initiatives, help ensure regulatory compliance and assist with quality monitoring. You will communicate with healthcare practitioners, ancillary providers, pharmacies, family members, and team members as needed ensuring timely clinical interventions and follow-up. You will lead and provide direction to Caregivers and Medication Technicians where applicable. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates empathy. They excel in a fast-paced, physically active position, collaborate effectively, and embrace a growth mindset, prioritizing exceptional hospitality and helping seniors to thrive as they age. Your Typical Responsibilities

<li>Follow up on physicians orders, coordinate services with ancillary providers and report to physicians and families any changes of condition or other pertinent clinical care information</li>
<li>Provide medication administration to an assigned group of residents according to physicians orders and report any adverse reactions or clinical observations documenting as necessary</li>
<li>Ensure resident care and service plans are followed by overseeing tasks of Medication Technicians and care providers</li>
<li>Make appropriate situational decisions and manage conflict in a positive and constructive manner</li>
<li>Update and review resident medical records, clinical documentation, and incident reports </li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications 
<ul>
<li>Active LVN or LPN license in the State in which this community is located</li>
<li>CPR Certified or ability and willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire</li>
<li>Minimum one year of medication administration experience preferred</li>
<li>Prior supervisory experience preferred</li>
<li>Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English</li>
<li>Intermediate computer and mobile device skills</li>
<li>Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude</li>
