To assist the Content Teacher, Teacher Assistant, or to teach in successfully preparing students with the knowledge and strategies they will need in order to master the curriculum and achieve a passing score on standardized tests. To also help students learn skills that will contribute to their social development. Substitute Teachers for middle school must be able to teach subject areas. Day to Day Substitutes: Duties and Responsibilities:
 
 Assist with morning drop off and afternoon pickup if required. As students arrive, encourage promptness in unpacking their backpack, turning in homework, turning in notes to teacher and hot lunch money. Communicate with parents as needed in the event of an injury or behavior incident. Accompany student to the office to take temperature or to call parent if the student is not feeling well. Take students to and from their daily resources (i.e. art, p.e., music, computer lab). Monitor behavior on the playground during recess.
