JOB COMPONENTS/PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Provide leadership and expertise in program preparation for CCNE accreditation.</li>
<li>Plan short term, intermediate and long-term development and improvement of the BSN Program.</li>
<li>Institutes program operating practices and procedures in order to facilitate improvements in curriculum planning, implementation, evaluation, teaching effectiveness, and program reporting.</li>
<li>Provide leadership in the development, maintenance, implementation and revision of existing and new nursing and healthcare programs.</li>
<li>Prepare annual reports IDFPR and CCNE.</li>
<li>Serves as the formal liaison between the BSN Program, the community at large and healthcare agencies to secure quality clinical sites.</li>
<li>Promotes collegiate initiatives between colleges/universities and articulates the program’s contributions in local, state, regional, national and international arenas of nursing and healthcare.</li>
<li>Participates in securing grant/scholarship funds to support program expansion and improvement.</li>
<li>Develop programmatic effectiveness with nursing faculty and staff that includes the integration of technology, including simulation and informatics.</li>
<li>Responsible for recruiting and hiring full-time and adjunct faculty and staff.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as requested, delegated or assigned.</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
&nbsp;All qualifications are required unless otherwise indicated.

<li>Doctorate in nursing</li>
<li>Must have licensure or be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Illinois</li>
<li>Significant experience in nursing education and practice</li>
<li>Minimum of five years of full-time faculty experience and three years of full-time experience in a nursing program with teaching responsibilities</li>
<li>Previous experience with the CCNE accreditation process for nursing programs</li>

RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;
As part of the&nbsp;Birth Choice of San Marcos&nbsp;team which provides support and care to the clients, the Medical Team Member&nbsp;maintains&nbsp;professional standards of care in conformity with the Hippocratic Oath.&nbsp;&nbsp;The Medical Team Member works with other Birth Choice clinic personnel to ensure clients receive the best medical, nursing, and psychosocial care possible.&nbsp; As a member of&nbsp;Birth Choice&nbsp;personnel, it is expected that the Medical Team Member&nbsp;will attend&nbsp;3 of the 4&nbsp;scheduled&nbsp;quarterly in-service meetings.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<li>Learn and become comfortable in receptionist duties to&nbsp;assist&nbsp;if necessary for staffing.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Becomes proficient in the use of technology&nbsp;(EHR, Texting platform, SharePoint).&nbsp;</li>
<li>Be comfortable with answering the phone,&nbsp;taking,&nbsp;and sending&nbsp;messages to&nbsp;appropriate staff.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Be familiar with all community resources to efficiently give information to clients.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Be knowledgeable of&nbsp;all&nbsp;Birth Choice&nbsp;programs (EWYL,&nbsp;Essentials,&nbsp;etc.)&nbsp;to&nbsp;educate clients&nbsp;about&nbsp;the services&nbsp;available.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Provide medical counseling to clients when requested via phone or video conference, document counseling&nbsp;session,&nbsp;and schedule appointments as&nbsp;required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensures that the client feels welcome upon her arrival for the medical examination.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Performs history and physical examinations such as pregnancy tests,&nbsp;medical intake with vital signs&nbsp;and&nbsp;limited OB ultrasounds&nbsp;per&nbsp;Birth Choice policies.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assists the Director of Medical Services&nbsp;in general clinical tasks as&nbsp;requested/directed; Monthly &amp;&nbsp;Quarterly Safety checks, Medical Record release,&nbsp;Orders medical supplies&nbsp;as needed,&nbsp;etc.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Reinforces the humanity of the unborn child with the client.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Provides client education according to&nbsp;Birth Choice of San Marcos&nbsp;Policies and Procedures including spiritual education and wellbeing.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Respects confidentiality and privacy per HIPAA.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ensures that OSHA&nbsp;and safety&nbsp;guidelines are followed.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Completes necessary client documentation in&nbsp;a timely&nbsp;manner.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Actively pursues opportunities for professional development through continued education and training.&nbsp;</li>
