PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:&nbsp;The Research Associate will serve as a support person for the Entomology and Insect Ecology and Management Program, and will assist in developing, conducting, and managing field and Laboratory research for this program at Kentucky State University. &nbsp; The successful candidate will also help prepare manuscripts for publishing in journals and presenting relevant information at scientific meetings, in addition to Extension and outreach programming such as the KSU Third Thursday Sustainable Ag Workshops. &nbsp; &nbsp;

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:The successful candidate in this position will work closely with the principal investigator and be a member of a team conducting investigative field and laboratory research focusing on conservation biological control using native perennial plants to increase biodiversity of insect predators and parasitoids (i.e., natural enemies) to manage pest insects in vegetable and fruit crops. Specifically we are attracting several species of lady beetles, lacewings, big eyed bugs, minute pirate bugs, ground beetles and other predators and parasitoids of sweet corn pests to this and other crops. This position will also evaluate/develop sustainable methods of sweet corn insect pest management by conducting laboratory bioassays of flowering plants, weeds, and synthetic herbivore induced plant protection odors which may attract or repel beneficial insects.

This position involves designing and implementing, and maintaining field, laboratory, and greenhouse experiments. &nbsp;It involves setting up experiments, collecting, entering, and statistical analyses of data, assisting with development of manuscripts for publication, PowerPoints for presenting, plus training and supervising other researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates who are conducting research in the program. &nbsp;Experience operating farm machinery (ie. tractors, planters, cultivators, tine weeders, etc.) is preferred. &nbsp;Experience analyzing data using modern statistical software is essential as is fluency in all Microsoft Office Software. &nbsp;&nbsp;

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

<li>Conduct field experiments to determine attractancy of native perennial plants to predatory lady beetles, lacewings, big eyed bugs, minute pirate bugs, ground beetles and other predators and parasitoids of sweet corn, and other vegetable and fruit crop insect pests.</li>

Job Description The Division of Applied Social Sciences (DASS) at the University of Missouri invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Agribusiness Management and MFA Chair in Agribusiness. The position supports teaching and research in DASS relating to agribusinesses, with a particular emphasis on cooperatives and producer-owned organizations. Areas of research relevant to this appointment may include new institutional economics, organizational economics, and transaction cost-based analysis of markets and organizations, as well as cooperative governance, management, finance, value chain coordination, collective action benefits to producers, and the interaction of these areas with cooperative performance and public policy implications. The role leads the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a focused portfolio of major individual donors ($5,000+) and institutional funders—including foundations, corporations, and public/government entities, while coordinating the full grants lifecycle—from prospecting and proposal development to reporting and compliance
The ideal candidate is an experienced relationship-builder and storyteller with a proven track record of successfully securing five, six- and seven-figure gifts and grants, deep expertise in donor strategy, and the ability to translate complex renewable energy and climate justice initiatives into compelling, results-oriented cases for support. Through strategic relationship management and cross-functional collaboration, this position will grow and diversify B.O.S.S.’ philanthropic support aligned to program impact to drive clean energy innovation, strengthen community resilience, support climate justice, and expand equitable access for historically underserved populations.
Minimum Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

<li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;or business administration) required. Advanced degree preferred.</li>
<li>5–8+ years of progressive fundraising experience, including 5+ years in major gifts and institutional giving.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success cultivating and stewarding major donors, closing five, six, and seven figure major gifts and grants; comfort with gift negotiation and structuring.</li>
<li>Advanced proposal writing and case development skills; ability to translate technical clean energy concepts into compelling narratives.</li>

Manage the development and maintenance of an integrated procedural manual and coordinate institutional financial aid policies and procedures, collaborating with campus stakeholders, i.e., admissions, registration, assessment, and counseling, to provide required consumer information to the public. *</li>

Project Coordinator The Project Coordinator supports the <a href="https://apptrkr.com/get_redirect.php?id=6448770&amp;targetURL=https://www.sfari.org/" target="_blank">SFARI</a> science team and Autism &amp; Neuroscience early career team on a variety of initiatives, including but not limited to, events and workshops, operational support for collaborations, archiving and document tracking, use of project management tools, and creating/updating standard operating procedures. The SFARI Project Coordinator reports to the Vice President, Finance and Administration and will work closely under the guidance of the SFARI Project Manager and the Autism and Neuroscience Student and Fellow Program Manager.
