The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a cleared TS/SCI Senior Chinese Toponymist (Geospatial Linguist) to work at a customer location in St. Louis, MO.
This is an exciting opportunity to analyze and conflate information associated with feature data listed in the Geographic Names Database (GNDB) while working closely with Intelligence Community (IC) geographic names experts. Selected candidate will use agency guidance and policies to respond to questions concerning the proper and correct usage of names, various Romanization systems, and the treatment of descriptive information on standard products. These services will use the Geographic Names Processing Systems (GNPS), charts, imagery and geospatial tools to refine names information for use in all types of products and to respond to use question via the Ad Hoc Query process. In addition, the candidate will prepare files and maps for work, accurately entering data to maintain and update the GNDB, including batching the completed work into the GNDB. The accuracy and reliability of the selected candidate’s work is essential to the missions of these users.
Primary Responsibilities.:
<ul>
<li>Selected candidate will scan and geo-reference hardcopy maps, research, and order geospatial data sources and commercial imagery to use as reference sources. Georeferenced maps and imagery must be conflated with the GNDB.</li>
<li>Selected candidate will interpret and apply national and international policies governing the treatment of and general guidelines emanating from the US Board on Geographic Names (US BGN), the Department of State (DoS), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and other related organizations</li>
</ul>
Basic Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated advanced experience with GIS software to include ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Advanced understanding of and application of Geographic Names collection methodologies.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience operating successfully in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as a team-member and as an independent analyst.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Expertise in research and information gathering.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Knowledge of regularly used GEOINT Sources.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with native maps, secondary source maps, historic maps used for extraction and comparison, mapping imagery for stereo and mono extraction at various resolutions.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and features including data retrieval/storage.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience at communicating with clarity and accuracy both verbally and written.&nbsp;</li>
<li>For all languages, a minimum proficiency skill level 2 for Reading is required as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Proficiency Levels or the equivalent that meets or exceeds the ILR skill level 2 or be willing to pass reading language test of 2+ or higher.</li>
<li>Typically requires a BA degree and 8-12 years of prior experience or Master’s with 6-10 YOE.&nbsp; Additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree</li>
<li>TS/SCI clearance required with ability to obtain and maintain Polygraph.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications.&nbsp;

<li>Proficiency in advanced Python Scripting.&nbsp;</li>

The Intelligence Group at Leidos has an opening for a Senior Imagery Analyst to support our customer in Springfield, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in imagery analysis to support a national security customer. As an Imagery Analyst you will apply proficient knowledge of GEOINT analysis techniques, Electronic Light Tables (ELTs) and advanced intelligence writing to design, develop and deliver geospatial intelligence products. Products can range from snapshots in time to long-term researched products. The candidate should have deep a geospatial background and a strong ability to independently conduct research and initiate projects as they deem appropriate.
Primary Responsibilities
The candidate will work directly with customers and team members and must be able to create, edit, research, evaluate, analyze, and fuse data from multiple sources and datasets to produce current and finished geospatial intelligence products. The Senior Imagery Analyst will prepare geospatial products and present intelligence assessments to customers and advise leadership of intelligence issues and challenges as appropriate. The candidate will exercise their oral and written communication skills to collaborate and interact with analysts within the customer agency and with their customers. In this position the analyst will also assist in the development and documentation of imagery analysis procedures, and maintenance of products. The employee will also be responsible for mentoring journeyman level analysts and developing innovative approaches to solve challenging intelligence problems.
Basic Qualifications

<li>Active TS/SCI</li>
<li>HS Diploma and at least 11 years of relevant imagery analysis experience. A bachelor’s degree in a field related to animation may count for up to four years of this experience.</li>

<li>Strong knowledge of both soft copy exploitation and multi-spectral exploitation functionalities.</li>
