Job Overview:
Furniture Repair Technician will oversee day-to-day repair operations and ensure all work meets our quality and efficiency standards. Assess, diagnose, and perform repairs, refinishing, and restorations on furniture and other household items. Responsibilities will include on dock product repair services, assembly, and general warehouse operations. This role blends hands-on craftsmanship with team leadership in a fast-paced warehouse environment. What your day-to-day will look like:

<li>Maintain repair workflow and prioritize tasks to meet operational goals</li>
<li>Perform expert-level repairs including complex refinishing, structural rebuilds, and specialty upholstery work</li>
<li>Conduct quality inspections to ensure repairs meet established standards</li>
<li>Coordinate repair materials, inventory, and tool management</li>
<li>Collaborate with operations leadership on scheduling, reporting, and repair needs</li>
<li>Troubleshoot challenging repair issues and provide expert solutions</li>
<li>Serve as point of contact for technical questions within the team</li>
<li>Inspect outbound deluxe furniture on multiple lanes daily to proactively identify and address damage, wear, or finish issues</li>
<li>Provide detailed reports and photos of all repairs</li>
<li>Train, coach, and develop junior technicians</li>
<li>Support general warehouse operations during downtime as applicable, including unloading trucks, pulling product, staging deliveries, and maintaining a clean work area</li>

What youll need to excel:
<ul>
<li>5 years of advanced furniture repair experience</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of woodwork, upholstery, and refinishing</li>
<li>Experience using a variety of hand and power tools.</li>
<li>A keen eye for detail and the ability to color-match finishes and stains</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to diagnose issues and determine the best repair method.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.</li>
<li>Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as kneeling, bending, and lifting heavy or oversized furniture up to 75lbs.</li>

This role is part of our Equipment Prep Department and is responsible for performing alterations on new products and restoring damaged, worn, or used furniture to like-new condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Perform all stages of the finishing process, including prep, staining, priming, painting, sealing, scuffing, and top coating.</li>
<li>Apply finishing materials using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other tools.</li>
<li>Repair or replace damaged furniture components.</li>
<li>Complete wood repairs such as filling, gluing, color matching, and restoring structural integrity.</li>
<li>Repair leather and vinyl materials, including sewing, patching, and refinishing as needed.</li>
<li>Restore upholstered furniture, including fabric repairs, sewing, and flocking velvet materials.</li>
<li>Perform additional duties as required.</li>

 Work Conditions: 
<ul>
<li>Work is performed in a clean, well-lit warehouse; some areas may lack heating or air conditioning.</li>
