ABOUT THE ROLE
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) aids all professional staff. Daily responsibilities include delivering direct care to patients as directed by the Registered Nurse Case Manager (RNCM). The CNA role maintains patient comfort and safety.
 
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

<li>High-school diploma or GED</li>
<li>One year of experience in home care setting </li>
<li>Certified Nursing Licensure/Certification with current certification in the state of residence.</li>
<li>Must have reliable transportation, proof of current automobile insurance and a valid driver’s license.</li>

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE:

<li>Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.</li>
<li>Consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality. </li>

<li>Sensitivity to feelings of the terminally ill patients and their families.</li>
<li>Complies with HIPAA by protecting confidential patient information.</li>
<li>Demonstrates competency in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.</li>
<li>Provides adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic bath or showers; assisting with or oral hygiene or back and shoulder rubs, skin care; and keeping patients clean.</li>
<li>Follows the Plan of Care (POC) as established by the RNCM.</li>
<li>Communicates to the RNCM any changes in the patient or the POC.</li>
<li>Participates in all training and continuing education and annual evaluations.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>

Victoria Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is looking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our growing team. We have all shifts available!
The purpose of this position is to provide direct care to residents, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with facility policies and procedures and report resident needs and concerns to a licensed nurse.
Pay Range : $ 15.50 per hour
 
Essential Duties include:

<li>Personal Hygiene Care</li>
<li>Answers call light in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Places all belongings within patients' reach (call light, pitcher, glasses, remote, etc.)</li>
<li>Serves and collects meal trays, assists during meals, sanitizes/cleans tables after meals.</li>
<li>Assists with monitoring residents in the common area to maintain safety.</li>
<li>Assists residents in admission and discharge including the inventory of belongings.</li>
<li>Gathers supplies needed for the provision of care.</li>
<li>Makes unoccupied beds.</li>
<li>Assists residents in activity engagement of their choice and interest.</li>
</ul>
 
Qualifications:
