Performs physical measurements for fitting of eyewear; accurately records information required and guides patient’s selection of appropriate eyewear. 3. Hours:

<li>Our clinic is open Monday-Friday 6:45am-5:00pm

<li>You will typically work Tuesdays and Thursdays </li>

SUMMARY
Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and ASC policies and procedures. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction. Participates in direct patient care and maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
<ul>
<li>Ability to supervise and direct patient care in an individual Operating Room. </li>
<li>Ensures that proper techniques and practices are used in accordance to accepted standards of practice. </li>
<li>Complies with HIPAA regulations and is knowledgeable of patient rights.</li>
<li>Performs duties in an ethical and legal manner within the scope of their license as defined by the State.</li>
<li>Supervises other personnel in the room and directs or assists as necessary. </li>
<li>Immediately reports and unusual occurrences to charge personnel, documents appropriately in the patient record. </li>
<li>Demonstrates primary nursing accountability through coordination, communication and continuity of patient care. </li>
<li>Assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care in an effective manner. </li>
<li>Maintains medical records in an accurate and legible manner. </li>
<li>Participates in continuing education/in-service training as needed, staff meetings, and Q.A.P.I. program. </li>
<li>Follows Physician orders and directions from management.</li>
<li>Actively participates in the development of a healthy work environment. </li>
<li>Assists in training new staff when needed.</li>
<li>Balances team and individual responsibilities.</li>
<li>Recognizes each department's significance and works appropriately with other departments. </li>
</ul>
QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Must be able to assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care in an effective manner.</li>
<li>Ability to respond to emergent situations.</li>
<li>Demonstrates a positive, friendly, courteous and professional manner. </li>
<li>Maintains effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and other staff. </li>
<li>Able to work within a team.</li>
<li>Good communication skills: oral and written.</li>
<li>Has the ability to be organized, manage time effectively and in a cost effective manner. </li>
<li>Ability to work independently and within a group.</li>
<li>Attendance: Arrives to work area on time and has minimal absences. Observes assigned work schedules and hours. </li>
</ul>
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 
<ul>
<li>Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required </li>
<li>Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing preferred</li>
<li>One year of previous nursing experience in at least one of the following settings is preferred: surgical, ambulatory surgical center (ASC), Pre/Post-Op, PACU, ICU, Medical Surgical, Telemetry or Operating Room </li>
</ul>
LICENSES AND CREDENTIALS 
<ul>
<li>Current Registered Nurse (RN) License required in the state where the worksite is located</li>
<li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required</li>
<li>Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred </li>
</ul>
SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY 
<ul>
<li>Should have knowledge of Amkai Office and Amkai Charts Database software</li>
<li>Knowledge of patient monitoring and emergency equipment</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook</li>
<li>Printer, copier, telephone and fax </li>
</ul>
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
<ul>
<li>This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25–50%). Employees must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25 lbs. Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands are essential, as the role demands constant grasping, writing/typing, and use of technology. Visual and auditory acuity—including color, depth, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus—is required 100% of the time. Occasional driving or climbing may also be necessary.</li>
