The Certified Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive patient care to patients under the direction of a supervising physician, managing the complex care of the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patient. This includes admission, monitoring and reporting on patient progress and discharge planning and followthrough.

Job Summary

Under the administrative supervision of the Chief Medical Officer and the clinical supervision of a staff OBGYN physician, the CNM is a member of the patient care team, responsible for providing patient-centered care for the patients. CNM is responsible for women’s health services at multiple Sterling Health sites to any age female with a gynecological/obstetric concern, including comprehensive family planning services. Collaborates with other healthcare team members, leadership, and clinical staff to provide safe patient care. Communicates pertinent findings and information to physician and team.
Assists collaborating physicians with management of patients in the hospital consistent with policies, regulations, and approved Scope of Practice.

Licensure/Certification/Registry
Current Registered Nurse license in Colorado.
BLS certification is 
Valid DEA in applicable state
Full Colorado Prescriptive Authority
Master's degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program
Certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)
Qualifications/Experience
Required:
Two years experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife
Previous work experience in specialty area is preferred
Preferred:
Four years experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife
Experience with Epic application and health record
Experience and understanding of Microsoft Office 
Experience working with and sensitivity toward special populations, including those with limited income, limited education, and non-English speaking individuals
Bilingual English / Spanish, complete comprehension, literacy and fluency in both languages
Experience as a medical educator working with Residents in training and other learners
