Position Description: The Hospitalist group at Pennsylvania Hospital is comprised of 15 physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers. They are seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to care for two subsets of patients: inpatients who have been admitted and stabilized by the house staff, and Observation patients who are admitted to the service from the Emergency Department. Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Possesses and maintains current Board Certification of Nurse Practitioner, Adult Gerontology or Acute Care certified preferred</li>
<li>Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.</li>
<li>Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.</li>
<li>Experience in cardiology, ICU, or inpatient hospitalist settings strongly preferred</li>
<li>Strong clinical judgment, communication, and team-based care skills</li>

Position Summary:
Responsible for delivering health care services and treatments to patients of the practice, as delegated by the Physician(s), within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner, and in accordance with the Collaborative Practice Agreement with LLC and Physicians(s). Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke s mission and values.
Education, Experience, &amp; Licensing Requirements: 
Education: Nursing Degree, Completion of a Nurse Practitioner Master s Program
