Job Duties:

Unity Health Care provides comprehensive health care services at the DC correctional facilities. As part of Unity’s responsibilities, they are required to provide evaluation and assessment of medical diets provided by the correctional food vendor. They also have a small number of patients with specific conditions who need nutrition assessment and counseling. Qualifications/Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Registered Dietician</li>
<li>Bilingual (English/Spanish)</li>
<li>Familiarity with National, Federal, State,and Local networks as well as Surveys, data sets and other Population Health measures.</li>
<li>Clinical experience with Patients Centered Medical Home, Quality measures, development of Clinical Units and programs.</li>
<li>Maintain registered dietitian status including continuing professional education units.</li>
<li>At least 6 months of Pediatrics experience OR Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition.</li>
<li>At least one-year experience working with prenatal.</li>
<li>Ability to adapt the Recommended Daily Food Guide to different dietary habits. </li>
<li>Ability to work with an undeserved population.</li>
<li>Ability to translate medical information into simple understandable terms.</li>
<li>Outstanding written and verbal skills. </li>
<li>Ability to travel between Clinica Romeros multiple site clinics.</li>
<li>Knowledge of office systems. Computer literacy and knowledge of Windows environment and software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel).</li>
<li>Ability to document using Electronic Health Records.</li>
