The Registered Nurse Charge is a leadership role providing guidance and support to direct reports. This role will act as the leader for clinical nursing needs on their shift day or night.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Serves in a leadership role through clinical practice, supervision, teaching and research. </li>
<li>Coordinates with leadership on schedules and timecards. </li>
<li>Oversees staffing for nursing department.</li>
<li>Responsible for employee performance evaluations.</li>
<li>Assesses the full scope of patient needs using the nursing process on a continuous basis. </li>
<li>Provides a safe environment for patients and employees through identifying/correcting/reporting health and safety hazards. </li>
<li>Cooperates with distribution of resources to maintain a therapeutic environment. </li>
<li>Maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors and co-workers. </li>
<li>Accountable for nursing practice through planned and continuous professional growth and development. </li>
<li>Uses knowledge and judgement needed to meet the nursing needs of patient. </li>
<li>Other duties may be assigned. </li>

<li>Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoingpatient care. </li>
<li>Skill in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings. </li>
<li>Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. </li>
</ul>
 
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 
<ul>
<li>Graduate from an accredited nursing program </li>
<li>Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in Ohio or able to obtain an Ohio nursing license. </li>
<li>Minimum 3 years nursing experience. </li>
<li>CPR/BLS Certified.</li>
</ul>
