OUR IMAGING SERVICES We recently added Dynamic Digital Radiography, which is an upgraded x-ray machine that provides low dose radiation (lower than fluoroscopy) to view anatomical motion. This machine also allows us to stitch images so that long bones can be viewed with improved quality. Our MRI boasts an increased opening (71 cm) and sensory comforts (headphones and lighting) for comforting those with claustrophobia. The software upgrade improved our image quality and speed to equate to a 3T magnet MRI.We are also currently undergoing a fluoroscopy renovation which will conclude in August. We currently have three x-ray rooms (including fluoroscopy), three ultrasound rooms, one MRI, one CT, one bone density, 1 EMG, and one mammography room.
INSURANCE Medical Insurance Coverage We offer Blue Cross Blue Shield Health Saving Account insurance. HSAs have many advantages, including the fact premiums are much less expensive than other plans, such as PPOs. Because deductibles are typically higher with HSAs, members tend to be more careful when choosing healthcare options. For example, an employee might opt for a visit to Colona Clinic rather than the emergency room because s/he knows there will be a larger upfront expenditure. With an HSA, you may also open an account at Central Bank and divert pre-tax dollars into it. This way you are pre-funding your own medical expenses with pre-tax dollars. When you incur an expense, you simply use the debit card from your HSA at Central Bank to pay for it. When you do this, those dollars move from pre-tax to “no tax” because you are never taxed on them. In addition to receiving a tax benefit by using your HSA at Central Bank, Hammond-Henry Hospital matches the first $34.62 you divert to that account each pay day. That adds up to $900 in “free money” deposited into your account each year. HSA dollars do not expire and are yours the day they are deposited. No wait period, no vesting period. You can continue to use them for medical, dental, or vision expenses – tax-free – even after you’re no longer participating in an HSA.

Job Description
We are looking to hire a Medical Physicist who will be primarily located at the Oncology Paris Cancer Center, which is a community-based cancer center treating an average of 40 patients per day.
Additionally, the center has very active PSI and HDR programs, treating more than 300 HDR treatments per year
The Paris radiation therapy team consists of one Radiation Oncologist, one Chief Medical Physicist, two site Medical Physicists (shared across the region), two Dosimetrists, three Radiation Therapists, and one CT Technologist.
While operationally independent, the center is part of a network POD that consists of two nearby, fully staffed, centers located in Mt Pleasant and Greenville in the North East Texas region.
Periodic travel to the other two sites is required based on the POD dynamic and staff coverage.
Responsibilities
The essential responsibilities beyond daily clinical tasks include:
<ul>
<li>Periodic evaluation of all equipment for continued utility, appropriateness, reliable performance, age, and condition to make recommendations on practical life span, obsolescence, and replacement</li>
<li>Contribute to the design and implementation of all aspects of the quality management program that includes the use of external beam radiotherapy equipment as well as the review and proposal of changes to procedures followed by radiation therapy staff</li>
<li>Assist in the management of radiation oncology information systems, including development of usage protocols, maintenance, and data storage</li>
<li>Radiation safety duties for the practice, including assisting with employee monitoring, reports, and regulatory issues</li>
<li>Lead or participate in clinical projects to improve department processes or patient treatments</li>
</ul>
Preferred Experience:
<ul>
<li>Eclipse, and Oncentra treatment planning systems</li>
<li>HDR planning and treatment.</li>
<li>ARIA ROIS and Mosiaq ROIS</li>
<li>SBRT and SRS procedures</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have
<ul>
<li>CAMPEP Accredited Residency Program in Medical Physics</li>
<li>Valid Texas Medical Board license</li>
<li>American Board of Radiology certification or board eligible</li>
<li>Preferred two years of experience as a certified medical physicist</li>
<li>Working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR</li>
<li>Experience with Varian linear accelerators</li>
<li>Experience with Eclipse Planning system</li>
<li>Experience with Oncentra Planning system</li>
<li>Strong organization and oral / written communication skills</li>
</ul>
