<li>Oversees all aspects of assigned banquet function activities, ensuring that all areas are properly set up and ready at the appointed time</li>
<li>Schedules staff according to established guidelines and forecasted needs</li>
<li>Obtains/reviews Banquet Event Orders, coordinates activities as needed to ensure timely performance of all contracted setup, food preparation and service activities</li>
<li>Assigns service stations, pre and post function duties</li>
<li>Supervises completion of all function set up/preparation activities</li>
<li>Inspects, accepts/rejects banquet food for quality, appearance &amp; presentation prior to service</li>
<li>Works closely with Banquet Chef to ensure that all banquet food preparation and presentation meets or exceeds guest expectations and hotel standards and that food is ready at appointed time</li>
<li>Monitors all banquet personnel in the performance of their duties</li>
<li>Observes/assists Banquet Service personnel to ensure that all food service activities follow Star Service Standards</li>
<li>Inspects all banquet service equipment prior to, during and at the end of each function, to ensure that all equipment is in proper working order</li>
<li>Inventories materials and supplies at the beginning of shift, obtains sufficient materials and supplies necessary to support forecasted level of business</li>
<li>Coordinates preparation of coffee, iced/hot tea as required</li>
<li>Verifies banquet cover count, prepares and presents banquet check for guest payment/signature, forwards signed check, all associated documentation and payment (if received) to appropriate accounting representative</li>
<li>Responds to guests complaints/comments in a positive, professional manner, follows Star Service "Own &amp; Resolve Guest Issues" standard</li>
<li>Completes Banquet Captains Report to document all function specific activities and make suggestive critique</li>
<li>Coordinates all break down activities designed to leave function rooms clean, orderly and ready for the next function</li>
<li>Oversees security and maintenance of all banquet equipment and supplies</li>
<li>Attends appropriate meetings to communicate and acquire information pertaining to scheduled event</li>
<li>Conducts meetings with department personnel as needed to keep them informed of upcoming events and activities</li>
<li>Follows New Hire Training and ongoing Star Service Competency program in accordance with hotel policy</li>
<li>Trains, appraises, coaches, counsels and disciplines departmental employees according to Loews Hotels standards</li>

<li>Develop short- and long-term forecasts alongside rolling budgets, and actively track day-to-day pickup, pacing, and variances.</li>
<li>Participate in P&amp;L planning, presenting financial forecasts and insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.</li>
<li>Regularly analyze STAR reports, travel click, comp sets, booking trends, historical data, and competitor strategies to refine pricing and distribution plans.</li>
<li>Implement and maintain accurate inventory allocation across segments (transient, group). </li>
<li>Partner with marketing teams to align promotional efforts, (across all OTA, GDS and property booking engines) especially digital campaigns, with revenue objectives; leverage direct booking tools to drive conversions.</li>
<li>Coordinate with property teams to guide best practices, bookings pace, identify market threats, and overall conversion performance.</li>
<li>Monitor KPIs like RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, channel mix, pace, RPM, and booking performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly cadence.</li>
<li>Deliver detailed reports, presentations, insight into broader industry news and trends, and strategy recommendations to corporate leadership and property teams.</li>
<li>Chair weekly Revenue Strategy meetings to formulate and disseminate strategies and tactics. Ensure that prior decisions are re-visited in this forum to evaluate their effectiveness and promote learning. </li>
<li>Train property staff on RM systems and best practices, and foster a data-driven, revenue-conscious culture across properties.</li>
<li>Work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and marketing to ensure unified strategies across all revenue-driving departments.</li>
<li>Conduct site visits to understand property-specific nuances, market conditions, and tailor strategies to each hotel's unique profile and personality.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a close relationship with the market managers of all third-party intermediaries to maximize the opportunities with these channels.</li>
<li>Analyze prior night’s successes, identify areas of opportunities and communicate to General Managers.</li>
<li>Please test calls to both central reservation offices and property to ensure accuracy of rate quoting, restrictions, and selling approach.</li>
<li>Identify demand patterns by analyzing various segments, such as the type of travelers, demographics, seasonality as they relate to both weekday and weekend.</li>

Requirements:

Internship students will be immersed in the multi-faceted Rooms Division and our culture of creating enriching experiences at Loews Hotels &amp; Co. From 24/7 guest service to seamless housekeeping, our Rooms Division team plays a critical role in the Heart of the House and Front of the House, delivering memorable hospitality every single day.
