Requirements:
<ul>
<li>General carbon steel piping knowledge</li>
<li>Large bore valve knowledge</li>
<li>SMAW welding experience</li>
<li>Minor civil work</li>
<li>Carpentry</li>
<li>Structural fitting</li>
<li>Knowledge of 480V and 110V electricity is also ideal</li>
<li>Must be able to access confined space underground vaults to perform PM services</li>
<li>Experience with steam and underground utilities is also a plus</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Ability to interact with contractors and the general public, as well as have good field engineering and organization</li>
<li>Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating &amp; maintenance instructions, plans, and procedure manuals</li>
<li>Write routine reports; and communicate effectively</li>
</ul>
Education &amp; Experience:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li>
<li>Seven years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>
</ul>
Physical requirements:
<ul>
<li>Regularly require use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms</li>
<li>The employee frequently is required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</li>

RMS Inc. is looking for a Manufacturing / Production Scheduler to join our team who is a strong problem solver and passionate about creating systems and processes to help us overcome the obstacles associated with dynamic company growth. JOB SUMMARY &amp; PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
The Manufacturing / Production Scheduler serves as the scheduler/planner for our rotating machinery manufacturing repair facilities. This position is responsible for scheduling production, learning our ERP system and being a contributing member to process improvement activities. They use their knowledge of the production process and associated tools to maintain accurate production schedules. This position schedules material and labor (Mechanic, Machining, etc.) to ensure the on-time completion of each project and as unforeseen issues arise multi-tasks and adjusts to shift key resources. 
The below list of activities is not all inclusive but a general representation of the requirements of an RMS Inc. Manufacturing Production Scheduler. This list is subject to change based on the needs of the company.

<li>Schedule rotating machinery inspections, disassembly, machining, balancing, assembly, and preparation for shipment to meet internal &amp; external customer needs.</li>
<li>Plans and coordinates production workflow by analyzing work instructions.</li>
<li>Responsible for overall production planning, capacity planning, scheduling, prioritization, and tracking/monitoring of production activities. Provides the shop with proper capacity planning to ensure feasible and achievable production schedules.</li>
<li>Maintains ERP system parameters and processes, generates and releases work orders, reschedules based on priorities, maintains area capacity plans and/or provides production forecasts as necessary.</li>
<li>Create templates in the ERP system. </li>
<li>Supports new processes. </li>
<li>Responsible for reporting and communication regarding capacity requirements, backlog status, production tracking, order priorities, material requirements, shop floor reporting, key performance indicators, or other required reporting.</li>
<li>Attend Job Planning meetings to review capacity and planning issues for new jobs.</li>
<li>Communicate the daily and weekly production scheduling during cross-functional production meetings.</li>
<li>Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and staffing requirements.</li>
<li>Plan and schedule shop workflow for each department and operation, according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.</li>
<li>Runs daily production reports to review open work orders, monitors backlog, identifies shortages and/or production issues.</li>
<li>Understands the lead-time of raw materials and order of operations to support production schedule.</li>
</ul>
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS 
Knowledge and/or Skill Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Ability to think outside the box.</li>
<li>Experience working in a Machine Shop environment.</li>
<li>Familiar with Turbomachinery preferred. </li>
<li>Knowledge of production scheduling and manufacturing / factory flow processes.</li>
<li>Knowledge of production planning within ERP Systems.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques.</li>
<li>Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. </li>
<li>Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions.</li>
<li>Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint &amp; Word).</li>
<li>JobBoss software experience preferred.</li>
<li>Programming experience preferred.</li>
<li>Problem Solving Skills.</li>
<li>Ability to professionally handle stressful situations. </li>
</ul>
Education:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education, industry certifications and experience. Experience in a job shop or Engineer to Order business is preferable. Minimum of 5 years equivalent experience. </li>
</ul>
OTHER INFORMATION
<ul>
<li>The position will be based full time in our Houston, TX facility.</li>
<li>Business travel time is projected to be &lt;15% or less.</li>
<li>This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Additional hours, including evenings or weekends may be required based on workload and company needs.</li>
<li>Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.</li>
<li>This position is subject to random drug testing and may be required to participate in periodic customer specific drug/alcohol screenings and background checks.</li>
<li>Able to understand, read, write and speak English.</li>
<li>Legally authorized to work in the United States.</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:
<ul>
<li>While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to stand and walk for significant portions of the shift.</li>
<li>Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs.</li>
</ul>
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a machine-shop environment. While the work area may be described as generally clean, safe, and "not loud", there will be machine operations that generate moderate noise and metal particles.
