PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB:&nbsp;The Research Associate will serve as a support person for the Entomology and Insect Ecology and Management Program, and will assist in developing, conducting, and managing field and Laboratory research for this program at Kentucky State University. &nbsp; The successful candidate will also help prepare manuscripts for publishing in journals and presenting relevant information at scientific meetings, in addition to Extension and outreach programming such as the KSU Third Thursday Sustainable Ag Workshops. &nbsp; &nbsp;

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:The successful candidate in this position will work closely with the principal investigator and be a member of a team conducting investigative field and laboratory research focusing on conservation biological control using native perennial plants to increase biodiversity of insect predators and parasitoids (i.e., natural enemies) to manage pest insects in vegetable and fruit crops. Specifically we are attracting several species of lady beetles, lacewings, big eyed bugs, minute pirate bugs, ground beetles and other predators and parasitoids of sweet corn pests to this and other crops. This position will also evaluate/develop sustainable methods of sweet corn insect pest management by conducting laboratory bioassays of flowering plants, weeds, and synthetic herbivore induced plant protection odors which may attract or repel beneficial insects.

This position involves designing and implementing, and maintaining field, laboratory, and greenhouse experiments. &nbsp;It involves setting up experiments, collecting, entering, and statistical analyses of data, assisting with development of manuscripts for publication, PowerPoints for presenting, plus training and supervising other researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates who are conducting research in the program. &nbsp;Experience operating farm machinery (ie. tractors, planters, cultivators, tine weeders, etc.) is preferred. &nbsp;Experience analyzing data using modern statistical software is essential as is fluency in all Microsoft Office Software. &nbsp;&nbsp;

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in leadership for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) in the years ahead. The Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and CEPS Administrative team on planning and implementing college strategic initiatives. The Role:
The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. The Associate Dean also serves on a variety of college and university committees and acts in the Dean's absence.&nbsp;
Job Duties Support for the Dean: -&nbsp;Collaborate with the Dean on planning college strategic initiatives, participate in college fundraising, and coordinate implementation of CEPS strategic priorities. -&nbsp;Provide CEPS administrative leaders support in areas of culturally responsive curriculum development, equity-focused institutional assessment and improvement, human resource management, faculty/staff development and performance evaluations, and budget and finance. -&nbsp;Support the Dean in decision-making, information gathering, report draft preparation, meeting attendance, and follow-through on matters assigned to the chairs and interdisciplinary program directors. -&nbsp;Collaborate with the other Associate Deans. -&nbsp;Collaborate to ensure program quality and effectiveness and to promote student learning, student satisfaction, and student retention in all student populations. -&nbsp;Attend Associate Deans and Academic Affairs meetings. -&nbsp;Act in the Dean’s absence.

Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in a discipline associated with programs represented in the College of Education and Professional Studies. A record of teaching effectiveness, professional leadership, and scholarship sufficient to support tenure in one of the CEPS’s academic departments. Demonstrated successful departmental or college-level administrative, leadership, and budget experience in an institution of higher education. The Job at a Glance Reporting to and working in close partnership with the Executive Director, the Development Manager manages the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual, corporate, foundation and government donors in alignment with our Strategic Compass. Responsibilities include managing our annual giving campaigns (Fall and Spring) in collaboration with the Communications Manager; contributing to and implementing corporate giving strategies, donor stewardship and database initiatives; and generating grant proposals and managing a grant portfolio in collaboration with the Programs Director. The position is supported by an Administration &amp; Development Coordinator. Job Responsibilities The Development Manager, coordinating closely with staff, is responsible for developing, managing and implementing strategies to raise funds from individuals, corporations, foundations and the government to meet the organization’s revenue goals. Key strategic and development functions include contributing to and managing a strategic annual Development Plan, participating in the annual budgeting process, managing bi-annual appeals, cultivating new donors and grants, and stewarding strong relationships with existing funders. The Development Manager will work with the Finance and Operations Director to implement a planned migration to DonorPerfect, anticipated in early 2026, with support from the Administration and Development Coordinator. This position supervises the Communications Manager and the Development work of the Administration and Development Coordinator, which includes the processing of donations and database operations. The role requires close collaboration with the Programs Director and program staff for their narrative and budgetary contributions to the proposal development process, and to ensure that Development goals and deliverables align with Vital Communities’ programmatic needs. The Development Manager will also collaborate closely with the Finance and Operations Director to ensure that general operating support is secured. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

SUMMARY
The SBA Underwriter evaluates loan applications and other financial data and transforms it into a concise, accurate report which can be utilized by the approving authority to make a credit decision on new and renewal SBA loans in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures and SBA SOP.&nbsp; Senior SBA Underwriters are expected to be able to handle 70+ deal assignments in a year and possess a higher level of knowledge of financial analysis and SBA/Bank requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
