<li>Transports patients to and from various areas in the operating suite as is necessary.</li>
<li>Assists physician with surgical procedures including, but not limited to the passing of instruments.</li>
<li>Handles and cares for patients' personal property (including prosthetic devices, hearing aids, dentures, glasses, contact lenses, etc.) from admission to O.R. through discharge of the patient from O.R.</li>
<li>Collects tissue and other surgical specimens as requested.</li>
<li>Indirect Patient Care Activities per CES policy</li>
<li>Greets patients, employees, physicians or other inquiring parties in a cheerful and helpful manner.</li>
<li>Receives, cleans, decontaminates, sterilizes and stores various supplies and equipment used during surgical procedures.</li>
<li>Operates and maintains auto-clave and log books as required.</li>
<li>Keeps records of patient charges incurred during surgical procedure.</li>
<li>Responsible for stock and non-stock ordering of lens and all supplies.</li>
<li>Receives deliveries and stores appropriately incoming inventory, as well as excess supplies left at end of surgical day.</li>
<li>Cleans and maintains surgical instruments and special equipment.</li>
<li>Notifies Nurse Manager for repair of surgical instruments and special equipment as needed.</li>
<li>Sets up, positions and operates specialized operating room equipment including but not</li>

limited to Phaco machine, Posterior Vitrectomy/Vitreo-retinal machine, Cryosurgical machine, Argon Endolaser, and Electrocautery machine.
 Assists in preparing physicians preference list and procedure lists.
 Helps maintain cleanliness of the operating room.
 Answers telephone courteously, communicating all messages promptly.
 Assists in Lasik suite when necessary.
 Performs other duties as assigned and pertinent to the department.

<li>Read and complete all manuals for relevant equipment necessary to perform daily tasks and job requirements.</li>
<li>Read and be familiar with Policy and Procedure books, MSDS sheets and their location.</li>
<li>Follow appropriate line of reporting. (Charge Nurse, Administrator/Director, Medical Director).</li>

Goals and objectives for a defined period of time are subject to revision and are to be established between the Administrator/Director and employee during the performance evaluation. Successful performance of these goals will be based on demonstrated, objective and measurable criterion and are to be discussed at appropriate times during the course of employment.
BACKGROUND REQUISITES

EDUCATION:

<li>High school graduate or equivalent</li>
<li>Surgical technician training or certification preferred.</li>
</ul>

EXPERIENCE:
<ul>
<li>Previous experience as a Surgical Technician required; two or more years preferred or a demonstrated ability to perform all the aforementioned job tasks and requirements.</li>
<li>BLS certification required.</li>
</ul>

Pinnacle Gastroenterology is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist / Scrub Tech for PRN Saturday-only coverage supporting outpatient gastroenterology and endoscopy procedures. This role is designed for experienced scrub techs seeking weekend-only work in a focused outpatient procedural setting.
This position supports scheduled Saturday clinic and procedure days only.
Key Responsibilities

<li>Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and procedural trays</li>
<li>Assist providers during GI procedures and endoscopy cases</li>
