Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Senior Paralegal (“Senior Case Manager”) to join their Washington, D.C. office. This is a hybrid role with four days onsite and one remote day each week.
The firm brings together a high-stakes, cutting-edge litigation practice serving clients across a wide range of practice areas, including commercial litigation, white-collar criminal defense and internal investigations, employment and discrimination, and complex regulatory and securities matters. The firm also maintains a pioneering public interest practice focused on gender and racial equity, reproductive justice, LGBTQ+ rights, religious freedom, democracy protection, and immigrants’ rights.
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Support case teams as sole litigation case manager or part of a larger team, during all stages of litigation.</li>
<li>Manage the production of documents: collecting, processing, producing, and printing materials.</li>
<li>Prepare for depositions, conferences, and hearings, including compiling documents and logistical details.</li>
<li>Attend and prepare for trials: manage trial exhibits, courtroom documents, remote trial office setup, and vendor coordination.</li>
<li>Conduct substantive factual research, document analysis, interviews, and chronologies.</li>
<li>Organize and maintain case files, overseeing both hard copy and electronic management systems.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the eDiscovery and Litigation Support Department, utilizing databases and eDiscovery solutions.</li>
<li>Assist in drafting motion papers, correspondence, and other documents including fact checking and formatting.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the Managing Clerk’s Office to file court documents, track deadlines, and manage service of documents.</li>
<li>Assist in training and mentoring junior case managers, contributing to the Case Manager Training Curriculum.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree and at least 5+ years’ litigation paralegal experience.</li>
<li>Trial experience required.</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technology tools.</li>
<li>Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Proven ownership of projects, initiative, and ability to work both independently and in teams.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage competing deadlines.</li>
<li>Flexibility to work overtime and after hours as needed.</li>
<li>Commitment to confidentiality in handling sensitive firm and client matters.</li>
<li>Passion for civil rights and public interest law, with motivation to support the firm’s mission.</li>
