Jolt is a non-profit organization founded in 2016 to increase the civic participation of Latinos in Texas to build a stronger democracy and ensure that everyone’s voice is heard. Jolt knows that our democracy works best when everyone gets a seat at the table. That’s why Jolt builds the leadership capacity of Latinos to mobilize their peers to action. Jolt lifts up the voices of young Latinos in Texas to tell their own stories through creative arts and acts, development institutes, and student leadership.&nbsp;
Jolt believes that Texas is poised for change, with a growing and disaffected Latino population. Today, 1 in 3 eligible voters in Texas is Latino and projections indicate that by 2030, Latinos will make up the majority of the state’s population. But demographics alone aren’t destiny. Winning change requires building a homegrown movement and a smart, focused, long-term strategy that can deliver equality and power to those who are most excluded and often first impacted.
ABOUT THE POSITION Jolt seeks an experienced Field Manager to lead Jolt’s organizing team uplifting the Latino community's voice to transform Texas. In collaboration with departmental leadership, Jolt’s Field Manager facilitates the development and implementation of statewide voter registration and mobilization plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Team supervision &amp; management: Supervises a team of deputy field organizers to meet voter contact, community organizing, and capacity-building goals as a hiring and firing manager</li>
<li>Issue messaging &amp; training: Understands core political and voter advocacy issues and can effectively communicate in-scope messaging to team members&nbsp;</li>
<li>Relationship building &amp; stewardship: Builds and maintains relationships with local leaders and community partners in the designated region</li>
<li>Field strategy &amp; data management: Develops regional strategies and systems that lead the team to successfully meet daily and weekly organizing metrics, as well as maintain data integrity</li>
<li>Special Programming Support: Collaborates with internal stakeholders to effectively support the facilitation of and recruitment of volunteers and attendees for Jolt’s special programming and events via the field team’s community interface</li>
<li>Performance assessment &amp; reporting: Assists in the assessment of regional program success through team and individual performance metrics reporting</li>
<li>Process management: Assists in the development and implementation of process improvements leading to increased quality and efficiency</li>
<li>Budget management: Oversee departmental budget, establish performance goals, and provide routine reporting to leadership</li>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>High School Degree or equivalent</li>
<li>Two years of staff management experience</li>
<li>Ability to anticipate and prioritize project deliverables and reliably meet project deadlines</li>
<li>Eligible to register voters in the state of Texas and get certified within two weeks of hire</li>
<li>Previous experience in data collection and management in tools such as EveryAction, NGP VAN, Mobilize, and Blocks</li>
<li>Experience in working with Google Suite</li>
<li>Reliable transportation, ability to commute to event locations all across the city (ies)</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and personnel issues</li>
<li>Standard hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11am to 7pm with strong flexibility to adjust schedule in accordance with assigned events and required to be on call as needed</li>
<li>Eligible to register voters in the state of Texas and must be or become certified as a volunteer deputy registrar within two weeks of hire</li>
<li>Access to internet on a personal smartphone or other electronic device to data enter and research&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to carry and set up tabling/event equipment of at least 20+ pounds&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to stand or sit for an extended period of time while working in an indoor and outdoor environment</li>
</ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred</li>
<li>Three years experience in the nonprofit civic engagement or advocacy sector; with emphasis on field organizing, relational organizing and project management</li>
<li>Ability to anticipate and prioritize project deliverables and reliably meet project deadlines</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a supportive team environment on strategic initiatives, priorities, and mission fulfillment</li>
<li>Strong written, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Previous experience in membership recruitment</li>
<li>Previous experience in voter registration and canvassing campaign management</li>
</ul>

Salary:&nbsp; $55,000/year
Location: In-office at one of Jolt’s regional locations with flexibility for non-standard hours, weekends, and holidays both virtually and in-person. Eligible for an intermittent hybrid schedule.&nbsp;
