The Chief of Endocrinology will provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the&nbsp;Division. The Division Chief will be responsible for all planning, policy, operations, and&nbsp;oversight of academic, research, and clinical programs of the Division. The Chief of Endocrinology&nbsp;will have financial authority over the division&nbsp; budget, including extramural research and&nbsp;philanthropic funding received and other financial matters for the division, in accordance with&nbsp;applicable University policies and practices. The Chief of Endocrinology will have discretion in&nbsp;the recruitment and retention of division faculty who will have a direct reporting line. Qualified&nbsp;candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) or equivalent degree&nbsp;from an accredited institution and be eligible for a University of Arizona academic appointment at&nbsp;the Associate or Full Professor rank. The Chief of Endocrinology will also play a prominent role in&nbsp;the establishment of a Diabetes Research Center with the support of an ongoing University of&nbsp;Arizona (UA) capital campaign and the continued development of an NIH - T32 training program in&nbsp;diabetes, endocrine, and metabolism.
The Endocrinology division is one of twelve within the Department of Medicine, which leads the&nbsp;University of Arizona, College of Medicine-Tucson in research funding, and has two residency&nbsp;programs, 15 fellowship programs including endocrinology, and numerous mentorship opportunities in&nbsp;multidisciplinary health science graduate programs. The College anchors the University of Arizona&nbsp;Health Sciences (UAHS) campus, which also houses the UA Colleges of Public Health, Pharmacy, and&nbsp;Nursing, as well as multiple research Centers of Excellence, and includes a research partnership&nbsp;with the Veterans Affairs (VA) Tucson Medical Center, which serves all Southern Arizona. Duties &amp; Responsibilities:

<li>Provide leadership and management of day-to-day operations of the Division of Endocrinology.</li>
<li>Responsible for recruitment, management, compensation, and retention of faculty in consideration of&nbsp;UA, UHSC, College, and B—UMG strategic plans and initiatives in balance of the multiple, tripartite&nbsp;mission of the University.</li>
<li>Collaborate with Academic Affairs and other educational offices at the College to ensure the&nbsp;division and their faculty are advancing the mission of the medical student, graduate student, and&nbsp;graduate medical education teaching programs.</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining liaison with other clinical and/or basic science departments to foster&nbsp;an integrated teaching environment for the College.</li>
<li>Has the responsibility to support and expand research activities within the division, and across&nbsp;the Department, College and UAHS, working with key partners.</li>
<li>Provide leadership oversight and effective management of an active program of independent,&nbsp;extramurally funded basic, translational or clinical research in area of research&nbsp;expertise/specialization.</li>
<li>Is the clinical role model and leader of the division’s clinical activities and works with the&nbsp;Dean, Department Head, and the B—UMG CEO to coordinate the clinical activities of the division and oversee inpatient and outpatient clinical services.</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining appropriate standards of care appropriate to the discipline.</li>
<li>Provide direct patient care in the inpatient and/or ambulatory (outpatient) setting as a licensed and fully credentialed provider as a member of Banner—University Medical Group.</li>
<li>Responsible for ensuring the fiscal accountability and sustainability of the division working with the&nbsp;College’s Business Affairs Office.</li>

Requirements

<li>Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine/Medical Subspecialties and eligible for&nbsp;unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Arizona.</li>
<li>Three to five years of progressively complex administrative experience (e.g., program leader,&nbsp;center/section director, etc.) in an academic medical center setting.</li>
<li>Demonstrated track record of distinction in teaching, clinical care, and/or research in an academic&nbsp;department of medicine or equivalent environment.</li>

The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in leadership for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) in the years ahead. The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. The Associate Dean also serves on a variety of college and university committees and acts in the Dean's absence.&nbsp;

Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in a discipline associated with programs represented in the College of Education and Professional Studies. A record of teaching effectiveness, professional leadership, and scholarship sufficient to support tenure in one of the CEPS’s academic departments. Demonstrated successful departmental or college-level administrative, leadership, and budget experience in an institution of higher education. Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of inclusion and equity issues within a residential liberal arts environment Collaborative and forward-thinking leadership style with the ability to cultivate and maintain strategic internal and external partnerships to benefit the success of students, colleagues, and initiatives. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data. Experience with culturally responsive curriculum development and with assessment of programmatic, general education, and course-level outcomes for accreditation. The Town of Granby is looking for the next great leader of our Recreation and Parks programs! This full-time, benefit position is responsible for the overall programs and operations of the Recreation Department. As current planning efforts evolve, the Director will also be responsible for the oversight of parks and trails, and potentially the planning, development, and implementation of a new recreational facility.
 The ideal candidate will be a flexible, hands-on leader committed to meeting diverse community needs while strategically advancing parks and recreation services in Granby. This position will also manage major capital projects and long-range planning to elevate the role of recreation in the community.
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Plan, organize, and supervise year-round recreation programs that include educational, athletic, and community events. Creates the Summer and Winter/Spring Activity Guides and monitors each programs registration and payments with particular attention to high demand services such as Day Camp. Also develops, schedules, and promotes activities. Oversee the utilization of the Towns recreational facilities, including parks, trails, sports fields, and open space. Creates and monitors policies on facility use, rental procedures, and safety protocols. Brings to life the recommendations highlighted in the Updated Parks Master Plan and the planning, maintenance, and improvements of the Towns trail systems. Manage the feasibility study for the development of a new Recreation Center, including research, contractor/consultant coordination, and stakeholder communication. Develop and implement long-range strategic and capital improvement plans for parks, trails, and recreational facilities aligned with Town goals and budgetprocess. Research and present capital spending requests for approval while also monitoring current year budget spending. Collaborate with Public Works and other departments to verify maintenance standards and to ensure full utilization of parks and trail infrastructure. Seek funding opportunities including grants and sponsorships to support parks, trails, and facility development. Develops, writes, implements and monitors all recreation grants in coordination with department staff. Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., ADA) and sustainable practices in parks, playgrounds, and trail development. Other Duties Responsible for opening and closing the Recreation Office daily, handling incoming phone calls and emails, and assisting walk-in visitors. Collaborate and communicate with other Town of Granby departments regarding current activities and other important topics that impact town staff. This includes attendance at director meetings and at times, Board of Trustee meetings. Connect with department staff regularly to discuss current and future programs, create and distribute program materials, and monitor arrangements underway. Also develop and distribute necessary program details (schedule, rules, and needed liability forms). Hire, compensate and evaluate all contract instructors for enrichment / fitness classes and hire and monitor volunteers for special events and youth sports leagues. <ul>
<li>Responsible for all services and activities provided by the Recreation Department. Ensures services and staff levels are appropriate during all events, leagues, and activities.</li>
<li>Assists with the directing and monitoring of approved expenditures and implements approved adjustments when needed.</li>
<li>Serves as the liaison for the Recreation Department with other departments, leagues, and outside agencies.</li>
<li>Promotes activities and programs in the community (personal contact, social media, newsletters, etc.). Distribute appropriate information to the community.</li>
<li>Responsible for coordination and supervising volunteer personnel during the appropriate activities.</li>
<li>Responsible for obtaining waivers from participants engaging in activities and then forward information to appropriate departments.</li>
<li>Responsible for organizing and developing short/long term goals regarding the overall operation of the Recreation Department to appropriate staff.</li>
<li>Develops and implements the goals and objectives of all assigned programs.</li>
<li>Monitors and evaluates the programs and services being offered. Makes recommendations to improve services and works with Director-Recreation to implement plans.</li>
<li>Conducts operational studies and makes recommendations for new services.</li>
<li>Assists in management, development, and administration of the Recreation annual budget including, but not limited to, forecast of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies.</li>
<li>Prepares and presents reports regarding the overall operation of the Recreation Department to appropriate staff.</li>
<li>Works closely with Chief Financial Officer and Tribal Accounting regarding all funds.</li>
<li>Manages the appropriate staff including, but not limited to, general supervision, annual and other applicable performance evaluations, disciplinary, procedures, leave approvals, timesheets, etc. with applicable approval when necessary.</li>
<li>Responsible for and maintains accurate and complete records of all assigned duties.</li>
<li>Plans and directs the design and development of new activities/programs and improves/enhances existing facilities and programs.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate person.</li>
</ul>
Job Requirements
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.</li>
<li>Two (2) years of employment experience working with youth and adults within the recreational field required.</li>
<li>Two (2) years of supervisory experience in monitoring or coordinating the activities of subordinated including general supervision, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures, leave approval, timesheets, etc. required.</li>
<li>Two (2) years of working with budgets including required reports, budget, modifications, etc. required.</li>
<li>Two (2) years of employment experience in projects/contract administration required.</li>
<li>Must possess First Aid Certification, including CPR and Life Saving, or obtain certification within ninety (90) days of official date of hire in this position.</li>
<li>Must possess certification of “Mandatory Reporter Training” or obtain during the first week of employment.</li>
<li>Must possess “ServSafe Certification” or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.</li>
<li>Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.</li>
<li>Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.</li>
<li>Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.</li>
<li>Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.</li>
<li>Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.</li>

Compensation and Benefits
<ul>
<li>The starting pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.</li>
