NiteLines USA, Inc is currently looking to fill a Radiology Technologist position in Bennettsville, South Carolina. Below is a brief job description and requirements.
Location: Health Services Department at the Federal Correctional Institution Bennettsville located in Bennettsville, South Carolina.
Pay: $35.50 per hour.

Schedule:

<li>Normally work, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period, (if applicable).</li>

Qualifications:

<li>ARRT: Shall acquire and maintain registration status in compliance with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.</li>
<li>Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.</li>

Duties: Shall provide the following services, which include, but are not limited to, the items listed below.
<ul>
<li>Perform routine radiologic procedures ordered by the medical staff for the inmate population at the institutions.</li>
<li>Transmit, retrieve x-ray images and report electronically, and scan reports into inmates’ Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR).</li>
<li>Receive training to retrieve radiographic consults from BEMR and schedule them to perform all radiographic procedures.</li>
<li>Work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, racial, religious and ethnic backgrounds.</li>
<li>Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs. Knowledge of digital equipment is preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Possess knowledge of basic emergency situations that may occur during special radiographic procedures.</li>
<li>Schedule exams and maintain records.</li>
<li>Possess knowledge of various pathological abnormalities as demonstrated by radiographic imaging.</li>
<li>Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to obtain a proper quality diagnostic exam.</li>
<li>Receive patients and explain procedures to alleviate undue anxiety.</li>
<li>Independently perform all radiographic procedures, i.e., chest, bone, skull, spine, and portable x-rays, etc.</li>
<li>Notify Radiologist, or referring Physician, of any preliminary abnormalities seen while patient is undergoing an exam, so that additional views or exams can be ordered, if needed.</li>

We are currently seeking Radiologic Technologist for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Marianna, FL. The prospective employee will provide Radiologic Technician duties needed for the inmate population at FCI Marianna.

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>The Radiologic Technologist shall be fully certified to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).</li>
<li>Should also be licensed by the state of Florida.</li>
<li>Must have at least three or more years of experience. </li>
<li>The RT must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.</li>
<li>The RT must possess and submit with their quotation, evidentiary documentation of their graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.</li>
</ul>
The services to be provided are professional in nature and will be commensurate with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards of care. The methods utilized will meet medical practices established in the local community. These services, although not directly supervised, will be reviewed periodically by a physician or staff member at the institution. The performance of these services will be monitored by the COR. The Clinical Director and/or Bureau of Prisons’ (BOP) Physician(s) will retain professional responsibility for all patients referred to radiology.
The Radiology Technician services will include, but are not limited to, the items listed below. Therefore, the RT shall be capable of performing any and all radiology procedures needed without any technical support. The current radiological equipment provided at the institution is a Siemens CR machine and a GE Digital Machine. Knowledge of CR and fully digital equipment is preferred but not required.

Job Summary: 
Under direct and indirect supervision, provides general radiology and fluoroscopic imaging in the radiology, emergency department, surgery and portable bedside service areas.
Essential Responsibilities: 
<ul> 
<li>Performs radiologic examinations according to departmental protocols within diagnostic imaging department as well as operating room, emergency department and hospital patient rooms; positions patients, provides immobilization devices as required and selects technical factor that will result in optimum imaging for each individual patient. Reviews orders, correlates patients clinical history with exam being performed; reviews previous studies when follow up and progressive studies are requested. Consults with attending Radiologists and Registered Nurses as needed.</li>
 
<li>Follows all National Patient Safety Goals. Receives and double identifies patients using appropriate criteria prior to performing the study ordered. Ensures accuracy of information and data entry, while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Captures required documentation in Radiology Information System (RIS.) Assists with screening patients for contraindications.</li>
 
<li>Prepares sterile fields and contrast agents; prepares floor stock medications; ensures sterility of surgical packs, trays and disposables to be used in assigned area. Maintains appropriate and adequate supplies during the procedures.</li>
 
<li>Assists radiologist during fluoroscopic procedures; operates and understands all features and performance capabilities of the general radiology, fluoroscopy and portable imaging systems.</li>
 
<li>Post processes/reviews images as required; prepares images for Radiologist interpretation, and transmits images to the Diagnostic Imaging PACS system.</li>
 
<li>Maintains working knowledge of all department equipment and devices. Reports equipment malfunctions appropriately; reports accidents and/or unusual incidents as well as unsafe conditions to appropriate administrative personnel.</li>
 
<li>Assumes responsibilities for the needs of patient during procedure. Provides service-oriented communication with patient; explaining procedure; answering questions. Emphasizes a personalized, individualized, compassionate patient care atmosphere at all times. Dismisses patients for transport and/or assists with patient transport at end of procedure.</li>
 
<li>Provides instructions on appropriate safety measures to patients, family members, and hospital staff as required; ensures appropriate safety precautions are followed. Applies appropriate measures (ALARA Principles) for minimizing radiation exposure to patients and self. Records fluoroscopy time used during procedures.</li>
 
<li>Functions as part of resuscitation team during Code Blue and/or Rapid Response Team situations.</li>
 
<li>Maintains all materials needed and linen supply on daily basis; maintains general order and cleanliness of room assigned.</li>
 
<li>Rotates and shares on call responsibilities for General Radiology service areas.</li>
 
<li>Pursues ongoing continuing education.</li>
 
<li>Attends departmental meetings and/or in-service presentations as needed or required. Reads and initials minutes of such meetings when excused absence precludes attendance.</li>
