The Psychiatrist is an independent health care provider who, working in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, is responsible for providing psychiatric services to the adult clients of the Agency. This role’s primary duties are assessment, diagnosis, treatment and referral of homeless individuals at clinic sites.

Formal Education and Training 

<ul>
<li>Graduate of an accredited school of medicine</li>
<li>Completion of a psychiatry residency</li>
<li>Board eligible/ board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology</li>

<li>Possesses a registered physician’s license in Maryland</li>
<li>Possesses CDS and DEA with DATA 2000 waiver licenses</li>

Experience

<li>1-2years of experience in assessment, diagnosis, and psychopharmacologic management for clients with severe and persistent mental illness, preferably working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting, preferred</li>
<li>Direct client care experience with populations similar to clients of the Agency; experience in a community or public health setting working with the underserved is preferred</li>
<li>Comfortable working with homeless and/or low-income individuals and families</li>

Responsibilities
