Psychiatric Technician- Behavioral Services Unit- Full Time- Days
 
Psychiatric Technicians are responsible for caring for patients who are severely developmentally disabled and need intensive care as well as are undergoing rehabilitation for drug and alcohol addiction and Patients whose illnesses make them disoriented, uncooperative, or violent, patients whose illnesses make them disoriented, uncooperative, or violent. Psychiatric technicians work as part of a medical team, under the direction of nurses and alongside other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, counselors, and therapists.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Observe patients' behavior, listen to their concerns, and record their condition</li>
<li>Help with admitting and discharging patients</li>
<li>Monitor patients' vital signs, such as their blood pressure</li>
<li>Help patients with activities of daily living, including eating and bathing</li>
<li>Assist in restraining patients who may become physically violent</li>
<li>Share their observations with members of the treatment team, including the Unit Manager, Team Leader and/or other team members as appropriate</li>

Required Skills and Experience:

<li>Successful completion of TCI within three (3) months of hire</li>

All Points North is seeking an Interventional Psychiatric Technician who believes in delivering hope, healing, and restoration through compassionate, high-quality behavioral healthcare. 
Broad Statement of Responsibilities
The Interventional Psychiatric Technician is a multidisciplinary clinical support role responsible for delivering and supporting advanced interventional psychiatric and neuromodulation services at All Points North Lodge. This position supports the safe and effective administration of Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (dTMS), Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), and Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT), while providing direct client engagement, crisis support, documentation, and operational coordination. The Technician works collaboratively with PLUS Services, residential, clinical, and medical teams to ensure client safety, treatment consistency, regulatory compliance, and optimal clinical outcomes.
QualificationsEducation &amp; Experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Health Science, or a related field preferred.
</li>
<li>
Experience working in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment settings.
</li>
<li>Backgrounds such asCNA, EMT, Medical Assistant, Behavioral Health Technician, or Psychiatric Technician are strongly considered.</li>
<li>
Experience supporting multidisciplinary clinical teams preferred.

Monitor, document, and report client responses and any adverse effects.

Obtain and document outcome measures (PHQ-9, PCL-5, GAD-7, Y-BOCS) prior to sessions.

Provide clear education and support to clients regarding TMS therapy.
</li>
<li>
Maintain compliance with all TMS safety, regulatory, and documentation standards.
</li>
</ul>
Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT)
<ul>

Coordinate scheduling, client preparation, and post-session integration processes.
</li>
<li>
Obtain and document vital signs (BP, HR, O₂) pre-, mid-, and post-treatment.
</li>
<li>
Ensure compliance with fasting and hydration requirements.
</li>
<li>
Provide comfort measures including eye masks and noise-canceling headphones.
</li>
<li>
Accurately document client weight, prior dosing, and dosage calculations for medical review.
</li>
<li>
Complete detailed KAT documentation in KIPU and co-sign with medical providers.
</li>
<li>
Tag client charts appropriately for compliance and tracking.
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with psychiatric and clinical teams to support individualized care planning.
</li>

Care Coordination &amp; Administrative Support

Serve as a liaison between PLUS Services, residential clients, outpatient services, and clinical/medical teams.

Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews, treatment planning, and safety meetings.

Coordinate with admissions and discharge teams to support continuity of care.

Assist with insurance verification and authorization processes for PLUS services.
</li>

Maintain accurate inventories of clinical supplies and operational materials.
</li>

Ensure treatment spaces remain clean, organized, and compliant with regulatory standards.
