Under general supervision, you will work closely with hiring managers to gain exposure to recruiting, evaluating job candidates and advising managers throughout the recruitment process. You will be responsible for full-cycle regular and temporary recruitments, including recruiting, screening, interviewing, advertising and negotiating offers with internal and external applicants. Also, you will be responsible for negotiating offers with contracted staffing agencies and source candidates as needed by the Talent Acquisition team. You will create processes to ensure accuracy of records, conduct analysis of various HR recruitment matters and may recommend solutions to management and employees. You will exercise some control over ongoing work priorities to ensure the best talent is hired, as well as act with discretion and judgment within the HR department and with CalOptima Health employees. You will also oversee the CalOptima Health telework program and assist departments in identifying, selecting and deploying employees to regular telework. In addition, you will provide support for managers and monitor the program for management. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Human Resources will be a key member of the school’s leadership team and will develop, implement and administer human resource strategy in support of the mission of the School and reflective of its anti-racist, equitable and inclusive commitments. The Director will provide strategic direction for the organization, specifically in the areas of talent and performance management, employee relations, orientation,&nbsp; training and development, and compensation analysis. Plans patient care based on in-depth knowledge of the specific patient population and/ or protocol, anticipating and identifying physiological and/ or psychological problems commonly encountered including the consideration of the patient’s cultural background, level of understanding, personality and support systems. Serves as a patient advocate.

Patient management includes the following:
<ul>
<li>
Communicating with patients virtually or in a clinic
</li>
<li>
Ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies.
</li>
<li>
Ordering appropriate medication and treatments.
</li>
<li>
Referring patients for consultation when indicated
</li>
<li>
Documenting in-depth progress notes and summaries. Performing invasive procedures independently upon the completion of documented competency.&nbsp;
</li>
<li>
Participating in patient care rounds and conferences, communicating patient management strategies to members of the patient care team; collaborating with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patient management strategies are successful in meeting patient care needs.

<li>
Recognizing situations that require the immediate attention of a physician and initiating life-saving procedures when necessary.
</li>
<li>
Using advanced communication skills to solve complex situations and improve processes and patient service.
</li>

Collaborating with other multidisciplinary team members to analyze and evaluate current systems of health care delivery to identify and implement new practice patterns as appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
<ul>
<li>
ARNP or similar advanced degree in Nursing required
</li>
<li>
Current Nurse Practitioner Certification in the State of practice required
</li>
<li>
Board certification by AANP or ANCC is preferred but may be required for certain States
</li>
<li>
Current DEA number from the DEA for schedule II-V controlled substances may be required based on State of practice
</li>
<li>
A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred
</li>
<li>
Experience as a preceptor or teacher preferred
</li>
<li>
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross required w/in first 90 days of employment
</li>

PAY RANGE:
$107,903 - $154,147 Salary
