Position Overview
The Marketing &amp; PR Specialist is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that promote The Arc New Mexicos mission, programs, and initiatives. This role manages branding and content across digital, print, and media platforms including website, social media, newsletters, press releases, and event collateral. The ideal candidate has strong design and writing skills, is highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented nonprofit environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
Public Relations &amp; Communication Strategy
<ul>
<li>Create and manage content for website, newsletters, press releases, and social media.</li>
<li>Develop communications that support outreach to donors, individuals served, families, and the broader public.</li>
<li>Draft and edit clear, compelling copy for various internal and external audiences.</li>
<li>Assist in planning and promoting events and campaigns.</li>
</ul>
Branding &amp; Design
<ul>
<li>Design digital and print materials that align with The Arcs visual identity.</li>
<li>Create branded templates and resources for organizational use.</li>
<li>Oversee formatting and design consistency across communications.</li>

Digital &amp; Marketing Tools

<li>Maintain and update website content.</li>
<li>Use platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, SurveyMonkey, and Microsoft Office to support campaigns and stakeholder engagement.</li>

What You Need to Succeed
Education &amp; Experience

<li>Associates degree required; Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, public relations, nonprofit communications, or related fields.</li>

Skills &amp; Competencies

Summary
The PR &amp; Communication Specialist manages internal and external communications to increase visibility for our brands—Alliance, Galaxy, and Primex. This role develops and executes communication strategies, manages relationships with PR agencies, and crafts compelling stories that engage stakeholders across multiple platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of key messages, playing a vital role in shaping the company’s reputation and brand presence.
Responsibilities

<li>Collaborate with product management to secure priority placements for new product stories in both digital and print media.</li>
