OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF JOB
This position performs various administrative and clerical tasks to support the Sheriff’s Department. Work includes public contact in accomplishing assignments and effective public relations. Position handles sensitive information requiring strict confidentiality. Assignments are varied in nature and are carried out in accordance with standard clerical practices, procedures, and precedents, general work instructions, and any applicable legal standards or regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB

<li>Issuance of Conceal Carry Permits.</li>
<li>Docketing Common Pleas Warrants and Protection from Abuse Orders.</li>
<li>Answering phone calls coming into the Sheriff’s Department, taking messages, and redirecting calls to the appropriate person.</li>
<li>Performs public contact work in providing assistance, gathering information, resolving complaints, and providing information.</li>
<li>Performs basic accounting tasks including collecting and receiving monies due to the office and maintains accurate records of such collections.</li>
<li>Sort and distribute incoming mail.</li>
<li>Coordinate the transport of prisoners to correctional facilities.</li>
<li>Keeping the Duty Board up to date.</li>
<li>File, index, maintain, and retrieve records as needed.</li>
<li>Preparing correspondence, letters, and fillings as needed.</li>

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Maintenance Assistant is responsible for keeping records on building maintenance and construction projects, schedule routine and emergency maintenance. The Facilities Maintenance Assistant is responsible for repairs, maintenance, and cleaning at each facility. Assisting with moving supplies and materials as needed for events and other projects. 
This position will cover East Pasco county and Hillsborough county locations as needed. 
The shift includes one weekend day.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE:
<ul>
<li>Maintenance and repair of the mechanical systems at each of the facilities.</li>
<li>Supervision of the Landscaping, Tree Trimming, wells and irrigation systems.</li>
<li>Update changes as they occur to the maintenance schedule at each facility.</li>
<li>Organization and Inventory of offsite storage.</li>
<li>Repairs and Troubleshooting malfunctions on the MDME equipment at IPU facilities.</li>
<li>Supervision of the Cleaning Services, Flooring and Carpet Cleaning at each facility.</li>
<li>Assist with the upkeep of the Butterfly Gardens and Pet Garden. Checking Irrigation system, wells, and animal removal as needed.</li>
<li>Maintenance of all signage at every facility.</li>
<li>General Cleaning and Maintenance at each facility as needed or requested.</li>

FACILITY SAFETY:
<ul>
<li>Building Safety inspections at each facility. Responsible for keeping the monthly inspection reports logged and the repairs that are needed scheduled.</li>
<li>Troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.</li>
<li>Replacing or installing the proper lighting supplies to meet the safety needs of each facility. Keeping inventory records on lighting and ballast replacements at every facility.</li>
<li>Inspection of the Fire Extinguishers, Exit Lighting, Fire Alarm Systems, and Fire Sprinkler Systems at each of the facilities.</li>
<li>Assist with fire drills at all locations.</li>

BUILDING SECURITY:

<li>Participate in the yearly inspection with the police or sheriff’s departments to review the safety of each of our facilities.</li>

SUPERVISOR FOR NEW FACILITY CONSTRUCTION AND REMODELING:

<li>Responsible for assisting with new facility setup. Installing equipment and furnishings, hanging artwork and other items on the walls. Assembly of furnishings and supplies. Moving materials into place and setting up as directed.</li>
</ul>
EVENTS:
<ul>
<li>Assisting the Philanthropy Department with fundraising events. Responsible for purchasing supplies, setting up rental equipment (tents, tables, chairs), moving supplies and materials to and from event sites.</li>
<li>Assist with the delivery and setup for the event.</li>
</ul>
This position is classified as non-exempt and is hourly. Usual work hours will be scheduled between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility according to the company needs.
ESSENTIAL WORK FUNCTIONS
This position is based out of the main office with travel to each facility. This position must have above average verbal and written communication skills. This position requires frequent travel and use of a personal vehicle. The work environment may be stressful at time as overall activities and work levels fluctuate.

SUMMARY
The Assistant, Administrative works directly under the supervision of the Director, Human Resources Directorand is responsible for providing confidential and routine clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Director and the Human Resources Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (Other duties may be assigned as needed)

<li>Perform ongoing developmental evaluations of children as required by funding sources develop lesson plans and follow curriculum implementation that addresses the individual needs of each child for preparation for kindergarten.</li>
<li>On an ongoing basis, plan, evaluate, and improve the physical environment in the classroom to create opportunities to meet the changing needs of the developing child.</li>
<li>Provide responsive care to all children by adapting daily caregiving routines and plans to the interests and needs of the individual child and the group.</li>
<li>Prepare developmental progress reports.</li>
<li>Exchange information and serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary intervention/prevention team.</li>
<li>Completes child transition and orientation of the classroom for the parents.</li>
<li>Maintain ongoing, open communication with parents/ caregivers.</li>
<li>Provide a classroom environment that encourages parent participation.</li>
<li>Ensure that each family receives an opportunity to build strong relationships and experience clear communication with teaching staff.</li>
<li>Liaison with children's families to ensure a smooth transition from home to child care setting and transitions from classroom to classroom when needed.</li>
<li>Assist families with children's transitions from toddler to preschool and from preschool to kindergarten.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate, complete, and timely client and agency records; complete attendance records.</li>
<li>Maintains up-to-date emergency forms, curriculum plans, individual child development profiles, and other records as needed.</li>
<li>Completes and reports any symptoms of child abuse to supervisor and/or child abuse hotline.</li>
<li>Completes daily health checks regarding hygiene, safety, and overall well-being of the children.</li>
<li>Assures a healthy, safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment for children.</li>
<li>Assist with functioning and monitoring of nutrition and food service.</li>
<li>Assist with the supervision of staff and volunteers in childcare settings.</li>
<li>Ensures that the Teacher Aide is kept updated in all matters concerning the classroom and program, i.e.lesson plans, policies procedures, and training received.</li>
<li>Completes yearly performance evaluations.</li>
<li>Reports all staffing and classroom concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Participate in ongoing in-service and educational development opportunities provided by the Agency.</li>
<li>Participate in ongoing development and evaluation of the center’s goals and objectives.</li>

 Requirements Required Degree/Certification/ License: 
<ul>
<li>CPR/First Aid Certified required.</li>
<li>Submit to a CPS background check.</li>
<li>Submit to a Virginia State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation background check.</li>
<li>Pass a random drug screening test.</li>
</ul>
 SKILLS ABILITIES

<li>Early Child Development knowledge and experience.</li>
<li>Knowledge of State Subsidized Program Requirements for Center Programs.</li>
<li>Good communication, problem-solving, and priority-setting skills as well as maintaining an overall positive and professional attitude /disposition.</li>
<li>Ability to use the computer.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively plan, organize, and implement educational activities.</li>
<li>Ability to make decisions on behalf of children and protect their well-being.</li>
<li>Must be able to manage confidential information.</li>
<li>Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and in case of emergency a 40-pound child.</li>

 Nice To Haves BA Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing with 24 units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education including core courses in Child/Human Growth and Development or Early Childhood Education Certificate; Child, Family, and Community and Program/Curriculum preferred.
