The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in leadership for the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) in the years ahead. The Associate Dean collaborates with the Dean and CEPS Administrative team on planning and implementing college strategic initiatives. This includes supporting CEPS administrative leaders in equity-focused program assessment and accreditation, culturally responsive curriculum and program development, cultivation of business and community partnerships, and strategic management of course offerings and scheduling for the college. The Associate Dean also has an important role in facilitating the implementation of policies and procedures related to the college and the university. The Role:
The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. Primary responsibilities include supervision, coordination and leadership for all curricular issues, general education, and graduate education; implementation of College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) courses, programs and strategic priorities; and policy coordination. The Associate Dean also serves on a variety of college and university committees and acts in the Dean's absence.&nbsp;
Job Duties Support for the Dean: -&nbsp;Collaborate with the Dean on planning college strategic initiatives, participate in college fundraising, and coordinate implementation of CEPS strategic priorities. -&nbsp;Provide CEPS administrative leaders support in areas of culturally responsive curriculum development, equity-focused institutional assessment and improvement, human resource management, faculty/staff development and performance evaluations, and budget and finance. -&nbsp;Support the Dean in decision-making, information gathering, report draft preparation, meeting attendance, and follow-through on matters assigned to the chairs and interdisciplinary program directors. -&nbsp;Collaborate with the other Associate Deans. -&nbsp;Collaborate to ensure program quality and effectiveness and to promote student learning, student satisfaction, and student retention in all student populations. -&nbsp;Attend Associate Deans and Academic Affairs meetings. -&nbsp;Act in the Dean’s absence.
Academic Programs and Curricular Management: -&nbsp;Provide strategic management of general education, graduate education, and major program and course offerings, as well as new program development. -&nbsp;Assist with CurricuLog approval changes. -&nbsp;Review and approve course schedules. -&nbsp;Attend Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee meetings. -&nbsp;Support collaboration across units with graduate education and research, including grant proposals. -&nbsp;Provide consultations and advocacy for student concerns.
Communications/Community/College: -&nbsp;Work closely with the Dean, the Director of Development, and the Alumni Relations Coordinator to assist in program development activities and newsletter articles. - Encourage and support business, industry, and community partnerships. -&nbsp;Assist with media relations pertaining to CEPS programs. -&nbsp;Interact with faculty, administrators, staff, students, alumni, other University constituencies, and outside agencies.
Policy Coordination and Committee Membership: -&nbsp;Represent the college on committees as assigned. -&nbsp;Work with the Dean to maintain policies and procedures related to the college and the university. -&nbsp;Approve grade changes, incompletes, independent studies, and internships consistent with university and program policies.
Supervision: -&nbsp;Oversee the supervision of the Director of Advising and the Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator. -&nbsp;Clearly define performance expectations, ensure accountability, and provide ongoing informal feedback, coaching, and mentoring. Minimum Qualifications Earned doctorate from an accredited institution in a discipline associated with programs represented in the College of Education and Professional Studies. A record of teaching effectiveness, professional leadership, and scholarship sufficient to support tenure in one of the CEPS’s academic departments. Demonstrated successful departmental or college-level administrative, leadership, and budget experience in an institution of higher education. Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of inclusion and equity issues within a residential liberal arts environment Collaborative and forward-thinking leadership style with the ability to cultivate and maintain strategic internal and external partnerships to benefit the success of students, colleagues, and initiatives. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated expertise in analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data. Experience with culturally responsive curriculum development and with assessment of programmatic, general education, and course-level outcomes for accreditation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ol>
<li>Serve as a case manager or co-writer with the teacher of all student assessments and learning plans that focus on educational needs, as well as other needs including IEP goals/accommodations as applicable that may affect a students functioning in school. This may be for example housing assistance, mental health/substance abuse, job skill/career exploration, etc. Ensure these documents are completed in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Provide individual SSW services/therapy to each student/family on his/her caseload, as needed, or coordinate student/family referral to such services. In the case where therapy services are already in place at time of enrollment, the social worker will coordinate services with outside agencies/therapists.</li>
<li>Coordinates enrollment from the previous school district for the student and family.</li>
<li>Maintain contact with the previous school, DHS or juvenile court worker, the KISD truancy officer, etc. throughout the educational process. Maintain contact with students, family, and all other stakeholders.</li>
<li>Conduct life skills groups during the school week, scheduled cooperatively with</li>
<li>Coordinate, plan, and link students to career exploration opportunities, as</li>
<li>Maintain communication and good working relations between the school and the community, including police, neighbors, volunteers, employers and friends of individual</li>
<li>Assist parents, as necessary, with referrals for medical, dental, or other needed</li>
<li>Monitor the quality of overall SSW services for students on his/her caseload; and evaluate adequacy of these services to meet educational objectives.</li>
<li>Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, social worker meetings, and appropriate meetings as deemed necessary by the supervisor.</li>
<li>Attend school related activities including but not limited to: field trips, family dinners, school-related events with students/families, conferences and parent</li>
<li>Assign and coordinate social work interns and/or student mentors, if approved by the Director of Special Education.</li>
<li>Provide supervision as required by MDE and the State of Michigan to Temporary Approved social workers working for IES who are seeking Full Approval SSW status.</li>

Develops and updates Departmental Procedures for reducing Company and Association liability or loss as a result of improper or unsafe actions and conditions or use of Association facilities.&nbsp;J. He shall direct such actions as he deems necessary to alleviate such situations as quickly as possible. <li>In collaboration with Campus Security, this position is responsible for the coordination of safety and security of the building and other initiatives with local police, fire and recreation departments.</li>
<li>Coordinates with Leadership Team and/or Campus Security to ensure safety and security procedures are followed.</li>
<li>Observes sound safety practices and reports safety concerns to Administration in a timely manner and responds to emergency calls to maintain safe and proper operating conditions;</li>
<li>Oversees the public access and usage of College facilities and coordinates usage with staff and/or faculty;</li>
<li>Coordinates on-the-job training including annual safety training sessions for staff in such areas as safe operation of vehicles, hazardous materials, and other physical plant safety issues;</li>
<li>Serves on and leads college or system committees, as assigned;</li>
<li>Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations;</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate's degree from a recognized college or technical school with a major study in a building trade(s), engineering, building construction, or facility management or technical training or education equivalency.
Experience: Five (5) years' experience in building maintenance, construction, or in a building trade, including two years' experience in a supervisory and/or project management capacity. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of formal education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure or certification in at least one of the following: electricity, HVAC, or plumbing. Knowledge of and experience in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical engineering technology and project management. Ability to construct and interpret building plans, sketches, and drawings.
License/Certification: Certification/licensure in one or more building trade Possession of a valid driver’s license and/or access to transportation for statewide travel.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Considerable knowledge of the maintenance and repair practices in the fields of plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electricity, painting, steam-fitting, and aerial lifts. Considerable knowledge of the needed safety precautions attendant to those trades. Skill in mathematical computation sufficient to measure and compute materials and costs of repair projects. Skill in transferring knowledge of codes, statutes and regulations to practical situations. Skill to interpret schematic drawings and plot plans. Ability to schedule and supervise the work and training of trades and plant operations personnel. Ability to maintain accurate and current records. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, contractors and the public. Some experience with project and task management and assessment of quality delivered. SUMMARY
The Airport Operations Coordinator under the direction of the Operations Manager performs operations and security functions at the Albany International Airport. The Airport Operations Coordinator (AOC) performs various duties at the airport as directed by operational requirements. Follows established guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

<li>Performs inspections of the Air Operations Area (AOA) to ensure compliance with FAR Parts 139 and CFR Part 1542.</li>
