The City of Johnson City, TN is accepting applications for a Police Records Clerk. *The position work schedule is from 12:30 pm - 9:30 pm.* The employee performs intermediate clerical work that follows well-established procedures; does related work necessary to the efficient operation of the Police Records Division. The work in this class involves varied clerical tasks. Work assignments are such that they may be learned after a short training period. Specific and detailed instructions are given to new employees and accompany any subsequent new assignments. After the initial training period, supervision is limited to a review and check of the work upon completion. Questions or problems arising from the work are referred to a supervisor for decision. Accuracy in the filing and completion of reports is extremely important. Meeting and dealing with requests from the public in a cooperative manner is also required.

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Police Chief, this position is an essential role for the police records division team performing a variety of customer service, data entry, and clerical tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Creates new police records, reports, logs, case files and other departmental documentation and materials
· Maintain accurate data, records and computer files associated with the Records Bureau.
· Process data entry for local and national law enforcement agencies
· Complete mandated reporting to State and Federal agencies
· Locate and copy reports for the public.
· Collect fees for reports and fines and prepare and provide receipts.
· Manage the customer service window by answering questions and providing information to the public regarding police reports, fines, and fees.
· Provide excellent customer service, communication, and distribute documents to employees and / or agencies 
· Assists the Chief and Deputy Chief with matters involving reports, fines, fees, correspondence to the public or any clerical matter.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
As an On-Call (Per Diem) Desk Clerk under the guidance of the Support Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining smooth operations within an affordable housing facility. Your responsibilities will include welcoming residents and guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, handling inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service.

The Town of Granby and Granby Police Department are looking for a new member of our team. This is a full-time, benefited position, with rich health care, dental care, retirement, and paid time off programs available.
 
General Purpose
Coordinate and perform a wide variety of responsible and complex administrative duties for the Police Department. Provide information and assistance to the public with regard to police functions and assistance. These tasks include processing and distribution of police reports to multiple agencies, transcribing reports and documents, manage the Records Management System, statistical reporting to State, process and tracking of the property room, greeting the public, answering telephones, and internal department processing of general accounts payable and receivable. Requires assigning a unique number to all items seized in criminal cases, submitted as found property, held for safekeeping, and entered as evidence. Property types are verified against FBI standards, stored using International Association of Property and Evidence best practice guidelines, sent for lab testing as needed, released to the District Attorneys Office or individual owner as necessary; all while maintaining the chain of custody. Copying and labeling of evidentiary DVDs, CDs and photos for release.</li>

<li>RECORDS RELEASE: Maintain complex and technical report files and documentation of their distribution. Distribution of criminal reports to appropriate agencies including: District Attorneys Office, 14th Judicial Courts, Social Services, Juvenile Services, other Law Enforcement Agencies, Probation Departments and the public while adhering to the Colorado Open Records Act for release of Criminal Justice Records. Requirements of limiting release of juvenile offense information, victims of neglect or abuse, victims of sexual assault, and other State Statute or Court Ordered regulation. Sealing of records in electronic and physical form when required.</li>

<li>CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATOR: Assist Lead CSI with the processing of crime scenes and evidence by responding to crime scenes during on-duty hours, documenting scenes, collecting and packaging evidence, photographing, video and diagramming scenes and photographing and fingerprinting arrestees.</li>

Works under administrative direction of the City Council and supervision of the Presiding Municipal Court Judge. Essential Functions:

Review and process blood warrants for DWI's when on call.
Magistrate and arraign prisoners at the jail by determining probable cause; identify accused and advises them of their charges; administer magistrate's warning; set bond; inform defendant of plea options/accept plea on each charge; set trial dates on not guilty pleas; assess fines and/or other punishment on guilty findings; prepare and provide the court clerk the record of arraignment, the defendant's plea, judgement and other documentation and orders as needed by the clerk; administer collection of fines and court orders; provide to the jailer written orders for release or confinement of the prisoner along with any conditions or requirement.
Conduct hearings on capias pro fine prisoners; identify prisoner to warrant; administer magistrate's warning; advise prisoner of amount of fine due and payable; order fines paid or commitment; provide to the court clerk written documentation of finding and orders.
Determine if claim or suspicion of indigence is valid and conduct indigence hearing in accordance with the law; issue orders appropriate for the case; prepare for the court clerk a report of indigence hearing and other documentation on findings and orders.
Magistrate out of county prisoners by determining the warrant information; identify prisoner to warrant; inform prisoner of charge(s), location and jurisdiction; administer magistrate's warning; prepare, execute and file documentation.
Remain on standby during assigned periods as the "on call" judge; conduct regular court dockets at the direction of the Presiding Judge; review and approve probable cause affidavits and orders for arrest; magistrate juveniles under investigation by Pearland Police; issue protective orders when required under the law.
When called, the associate judge shall be available by telephone and able to respond within one hour notification to any emergency requiring a judge or magistrate. Associate judges share on-call time by mutual agreement or as directed by the Presiding Judge.
