Job Summary: Non-Sterile compounding pharmacist is responsible for compounding low, medium and high-risk non-sterile products in a clean room environment.
 
Job Activities and Responsibilities: Compounding pharmacist shall have knowledge of and follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
 
Non-sterile compounding may include but is not limited to the compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topical medications, nasal preparations, suppositories, troches, tablet triturates or lollipops. Hormones and other potentially hazardous chemicals are used in non-sterile compounding. Position requires close attention to detail. Standards for accuracy and potency shall be consistently met.
 
Compounding pharmacist shall perform compounding and supervise pharmacy technicians compounding of preparations, filling, and labeling of prescriptions and prepackaging of bulk medications. Compounding pharmacist shall also perform order entry, communicate with providers for the purpose of receiving new prescription orders, clarification of prescriptions or refill authorizations, perform final check on prescriptions, counsel patients and answer questions
from patients and providers. Compounding pharmacist shall also monitor inventory levels for re-order of low inventory or expiring chemicals, receive new inventory, ensure maintenance of MSDS and Certificates of Analysis, oversee annual inventory and ensure performance of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning using appropriate disinfectants and techniques and finally, ensure that environmental monitoring and validation testing is performed according to policies and
procedures.
 
Minimum qualifications
 
• Georgia-licensed pharmacist
• Multiple state licenses are a plus. If not licensed in multiple states, must be eligible to get
licensed in every state.
• Working knowledge of all aspects of a pharmacy – Retail, Sterile, Non-Sterile
• No felony or pending felony charges or convictions, including controlled substances
offenses.

The typical pay range for this role is:

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

Basic Requirements/Certifications:

As a Pharmacist in Charge, you will be responsible for the overall direction of the facility pharmacy following all the state and federal regulations. 
Requirements:

<li>Current Pharmacist license </li>
<li>Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with effective written and verbal communication skills </li>

Responsibilities:

<li>Reconcile the medication inventory monthly and maintain reconciliation reports. </li>
<li>Assumes responsibility for the preparation (verifying doses, pre-pouring all take home medications, labeling all take home medications, and sign off for distribution) of all take home medication for persons who have earned such privileges. </li>
<li>Secure opioid medication by restricting access to medication areas. </li>
<li>Ensure receiving and handling of the medication follows all state and federal laws and DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) 222 forms are completed accurately. </li>
<li>Conduct Biennial Inventory as required by the DEA. </li>
<li>Provide direction and supervision to pharmacy personnel. </li>
<li>Review drug interactions and medication information after initial medication is ordered for clients. </li>
<li>Maintain compliance with PTC (Pinnacle Treatment Center) policies and procedures, CARF, DEA, CSAT, State regulatory bodies and the Board of Pharmacy guidelines and reporting standards. </li>
<li>Oversees quality assurance of the pharmacy including monthly review of incident reports. </li>
