Managing Director, Global Philanthropists Circle

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance at Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has oversight of the financial, risk management and information technology operations of the organization. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is delegated a high degree of responsibility to recommend and implement fiscal policies and procedures in partnership with university colleagues to ensure that ASI operates appropriately within the financial policies of the California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees and the University, while sustaining sound business practices, and strengthening the financial health of ASI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Accounting

Minimum Qualifications

Position Summary:
The Jacksonville Symphony Advancement Department raises fundsthrough donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, thepublic sector, and special events to support artistic andeducational programming and general operating expenses. TheDirector of Major Gifts will be responsible for increasing majorgifts from both individual donors and corporate sponsors, on alocal, regional, and national level. The Major Gifts Officer willwork to increase support by cultivating and stewarding effectiverelationships by maintaining an active fundraising schedule thatincludes strategic visits, and ongoing cultivation andsolicitation. They will maintain a portfolio of current andpotential donors, with six-figure plus capacity, excluding boardand honorary board members. Opportunity
Reporting to IRAP’s Executive Vice President, External Relationsand Chief of Staff, the Vice President (VP), Development will be anintegral member of the IRAP team, and involved in theorganization’s overall strategic development. They will oversee andmanage the organization’s fundraising strategy, development, andexecution, and will build key infrastructure and contacts tostrengthen and sustain its activities. In partnership with theExecutive Vice President, External Relations and Chief of Staff,the Development team, and other key stakeholders, the VP will be astrategic leader and frontline fundraiser, forging newrelationships to increase IRAP’s visibility, achieve ambitiousimpact, and secure long-term financial resources. They will lead,in partnership, the design and implementation of a comprehensive,clearly-articulated multi-year plan to maintain organizationalhealth in the years to come. The VP will hold a portfolio ofprincipal and major individual and institutional donors, and willbe responsible for personal fundraising performance alongside therest of the development team.&nbsp;
The VP, Development will have primary responsibility forestablishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow a$30M annual budget through the solicitation of grassroots tomajor/principal gifts, special events and virtual opportunities,and corporate and foundation support. They will expand anddiversify IRAP’s donor base/pipeline and work closely with otherteam members to secure funding for new initiatives. The VP, Development will directly supervise the highly strategicDevelopment Leadership Team, comprising the Director of IndividualPhilanthropy, Director of Institutional Philanthropy, and theDevelopment Operations team lead, in addition to overseeing andleading the nine Development team professionals. They will also bea member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for helping todevelop a strategic execution plan to achieve organizationalresults.

The Director of Government Affairs leads the college’s engagement with local, state, and federal government officials and agencies. The Director is responsible for advancing institutional priorities and securing funding through legislative advocacy, policy analysis, and strategic coordination with elected officials. The Director will oversee the Government Relations manager and ensure alignment of advocacy efforts with the college's mission and strategic plan.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities&nbsp;
The following duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive but illustrate the general requirement of the position. The position reports to the College’s Chief of Staff, who may direct the Director to perform duties in addition to those listed below.
Key responsibilities:

<li>Develop and lead the college’s government relations strategy, ensuring proactive, year-round engagement with elected officials and policymakers.</li>
<li>Serve as the primary liaison to government offices and legislative bodies, representing the college’s interests at public hearings, policy meetings, and budget discussions.</li>
<li>Serve as a CUNY Legislative Council Member (CLAC), coordinating state and city funding opportunities and higher education advocacy with CUNY and the College.</li>
<li>Track and analyze proposed legislation and public policies that affect higher education, and provide regular briefings and recommendations to college leadership.</li>
<li>Partner with the President’s Office, senior staff, and institutional stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and policy initiatives that support the college’s academic, capital, and workforce development goals.</li>
<li>Coordinate legislative advocacy efforts in collaboration with CUNY’s Office of Government Relations.</li>
<li>Prepare materials (e.g., briefing documents, legislative testimony, and funding proposals) that support the college’s priorities.</li>
