You Will:
<ul>
<li>Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.</li>
<li>Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.</li>
<li>Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.</li>
<li>Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.</li>
<li>Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.</li>
<li>Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.</li>
<li>Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.</li>
<li>Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.</li>
<li>Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.</li>

Responsibilities:

<li>Process patients for revisit, update patient data in system; provide encounter forms and collect patient fees as indicated</li>
<li>Organize by date and enter into the computer system data from completed patient encounter forms</li>
<li>Collect the Ambulatory Care Center service-related charges from clinic patients, issues receipts, and is accountable for financial transactions and cash control procedures</li>
<li>Issues transportation money to authorized clinic patients and documents all transactions, including vouchers for car service for clinic patients</li>
<li>Perform other related duties as required</li>

Qualifications:

<li>2 years of Imaging experience with at least 1 year of MRI experience</li>

We are tasked with staffing The 56th Medical Group at Luke AFB near Phoenix with MRI Technologists. The MRI Technologists are expected to perform the following:

<li>Perform routine diagnostic radiological procedures/services as appropriate to the TO. </li>
<li>Adhere to radiation safety policies and procedures in accordance with Radiology Department policies and procedures. </li>
<li>Send appropriate image series to the radiologist for reading according to MTF protocol. </li>
<li>Correctly position the patient for the examination and make technical adjustments necessary for the required examination. Determine if any special patient preparation is required. </li>
<li>Process digital images and submit for interpretation by radiologists. </li>
<li>Document all procedures and maintain records in accordance with MTF policy. </li>
<li>As directed, perform system calibrations and quality control tasks according to the manufacturer and MTF policy. Recognize artifacts and equipment errors and notify designated Government personnel of outlying values. </li>
<li>Initiate repair call procedures for equipment malfunctions by notifying designated Government personnel. Report problems to the Biomedical Repair Section and record the problem condition in the trouble call logbook. </li>
<li>Observe and report to the radiologist any symptoms which have direct bearing on the patient's condition because of adverse reaction to contrast media and inform the radiologist of any condition requiring his/her attention. Recognize the need for and institute the necessary emergency measures for situations where a person requires resuscitation procedures due to cardiac or respiratory arrest. </li>

Job Summary and Qualifications:
The MRI Technologist performs technical procedures, applying magnetic resonance imaging and ionizing radiation (Radiographer) for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates equipment used to produce the magnetic image and expose the x-ray image as well as process and organize the image in PACS.
