Overview
As a Landfill Field Technician for Blue Granite Environmental, you will be responsible for working on a variety of diverse environmental projects related to landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS). Much of your time will be spent in the field and traveling to and from sites. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Under general supervision operate, monitor, and maintain landfill gas migration control/recovery systems;</li>
<li>Calibrate, operate and maintain sensitive electronic data collection devices in order to optimize the landfill gas collected from the wellfield.</li>
<li>Collect data from wellfield extraction and environmental monitoring locations;</li>
<li>Perform wellfield valve/vacuum adjustments, data collection and maintenance; interpret data;</li>
<li>Develop a general understanding of environmental regulations related to GCCS operations.</li>
<li>Assist with small construction projects including pipe and valve installation;</li>
<li>Use Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping materials and associated equipment to perform maintenance on piping systems.</li>

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY: This position serves the hospital patient population by observation and monitors cardiac rhythms/capnography, recognize changes in regularity, configuration and rate of rhythm and report findings to primary nurse. Appropriately documents and communicates monitored recordings. JOB DUTIES: Clerical: 1. Accurately identifies and enters the patient information: initials, telemetry box number into the monitor system and telemetry/capnography log. 2. Assembles/disassembles patient shadow charts in a timely fashion to facilitate patient flow. 3. Promptly and accurately responds to delegated tasks within scope of practice. 4. During EHR downtime, accurately and promptly completes necessary paperwork which assists to ensure tests, consults and treatments are initiated/completed. 5. Reports appropriate overhead pages via the paging system to the Admitting staff in accordance with established organizational procedures. 6. Demonstrates accurate interpretation of monitors including appropriate documentation and communication of monitored recordings to the primary nurse. 14. Provides the primary nurse with a printout of a rhythm strip (with a clear baseline) on admission, at the beginning of each shift, and with significant change in rhythm for documentation in the patient's medical record. Position Summary:
\n
Responsible for the setup of telemetry on physician orders by ensuring proper placement of electrodes, running strips, and replacing batteries as needed.&nbsp;
\n
Job Responsibilities:
\n
Selects, sets-up, calibrates and adjusts monitoring equipment in accordance with physician orders. Ensures continued proper functioning of equipment; troubleshoots equipment problems as identified. Collects, transmits, and documents pertinent patient data to the Registered Nurse (RN) with correct interpretations and interval measurements on each patient at required intervals every shift and with any significant rhythm change. Maintains current monitored patients in the system; confers with nursing staff to determine correct validation counts and alarm parameters for patients.&nbsp; Reports alarms and changes of rhythm to RN staff.&nbsp; Greets, screens and processes incoming unit/dept calls, patients, visitors, and messages. Transcribes physician orders, enters tests, and treatment requests into system. Assembles and maintains patient medical records including posting of results.

Cardiac Monitoring Tech &nbsp;
Duties:
Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required. Job Summary: Performs monitor technician duties and unit secretarial clerical duties while acting as a communication center for the nursing unit. Essential Duties: -Observes patients cardiac telemetry oximetry and maintains records, documents in EMR, prints strips and reports any pertinent rhythm or rate changes especially life-threatening dysrhythmias and desaturations. -Provides patient report to physicians, nurses, and the oncoming monitor technician. -Notifies the nurse immediately of any lethal arrhythmias and documents findings in EMR. -Exports and prints 12-lead ECGs per ED staff request. -Performs cardiac device interrogations per order. -Assumes responsibilities for the proper functioning of the computerized patient monitor system and reports malfunctions immediately to supervisor and the Medical Equipment Management Services. -Assists in orientation of new staff or students and serve as a resource person and professional role model. -Timely completion of mandatory initial and yearly competencies, including but not limited to cardiac rhythm interpretation, BLS, Philips system monitoring, safety training. -Maintenance of all skill required for various aspects of job: telemetry monitoring, ECG assessment and exportation, cardiac device interrogation, and secretarial duties. -Adheres to PHS policies, including but not limited with human resources, attendance, safety, and equipment. -Adheres department specific policies, procedures and standard works. -Maintains positive communication and relationship with peers and other healthcare team members. -Participates in quality improvement activities. -Promotes facilitates accurate unit communication. -Courteously greets and directs customers. -Answers communication devices and efficiently processes information. -Effectively utilizes computer system to meet patient unit needs. Continually performs variety of tasks utilizing organizational and prioritizing skills to meet changing needs of patient unit. -Communicates and processes necessary paperwork information for patient admissions, transfers and discharges. -Maintains correct census and bed status report. Assembles patientsÂ¿ charts and organizes them daily by filing pertinent reports and adding blank forms as needed. -Maintains and accounts for office supplies for the unit. -Assists in orienting new personnel to secretarial duties. -Performs other functions as required. &nbsp;
Skills:
Required Skills &amp; Experience: -Ability to effectively interact with customers to understand their needs and explain data. -Microsoft Office. -Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person and via telephone with members, employer groups, brokers, physicians, and physician office staff using strong dialogue and customer service competencies. -Written communication. Preferred Skills &amp; Experience: -One year monitor technician experience preferred. -One year experience as a unit secretary preferred. &nbsp;
Education:
Required Education: -High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Education: -Specialized, short-term training in cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation with special emphasis on detection of life-threatening dysrhythmias preferred (requirement verified at interview). Required Certifications &amp; Licensure: -Take and pass Basic Arrhythmia Test. -BLS.
