<li>Report significant client changes in behavior, attitude, and/or physical condition to appropriate personnel while consistently evaluating client behavioral and emotional issues.</li>
<li>Assist Mental Health Worker in their collaboration with the Educational team and client’s Mental Health Therapist to implement the individualized treatment plan.</li>
<li>Implement the daily activity schedule and structure and coordinate client activities, such as Family Night, Structured Recreation, etc.</li>
<li>Facilitate and document various psycho-educational groups via standardized curricula.</li>
<li>Conduct scheduled and random head counts to provide effective people security.</li>
<li>Conduct outside building security checks when working on overnight shift.</li>
<li>Complete security calls to Night Supervisor when working on overnight shift.</li>
<li>Support the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care.</li>
<li>Demonstrate appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management techniques and skills.</li>

Position: Mental Health Technician
Location: Castle Rock, CO
Job Type: Full Time Day and Night Shifts Available! (12.5-Hour Shifts)
Compensation: $18.00-19.50 Per Hour (dependent on shift worked) 
About The Role 
As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting clients through their recovery journey in our Castle Rock residential facility. This role combines direct client care, therapeutic activity support, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, therapeutic environment. Mental Health Technicians foster personal growth in clients while upholding program policies and providing trauma-informed care. 

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Client Support &amp; Supervision: Monitor and guide clients during therapeutic and recreational activities, facilitate skill-building exercises, and support clients in achieving treatment goals.</li>
<li>Crisis Management: Respond to incidents and use de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm environment.</li>
<li>Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical and operational teams to ensure consistent care delivery.</li>
<li>Documentation &amp; Compliance: Maintain accurate records of client behavior and report significant changes promptly. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding confidentiality and client safety.</li>
<li>Trauma-Informed Care: Utilize a compassionate approach to support clients with behavioral health challenges.</li>

Education Requirements:

<li>A high school diploma or equivalent is required</li>
<li>Two years of college education or 1 year of human services experience is required.</li>
<li>Associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology or behavioral health is preferred</li>

Experience Requirements:

<li>Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably with adolescents.</li>
</ul>

Other Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Candidates applying for this position should be aware that an offer for employment in this position is contingent upon passing a comprehensive background check, encompassing criminal records and motor vehicle reports.</li>
<li>A valid driver's License and clean driving history are required – Staff are expected to drive a company 15 passenger van to transport clients to and from programming activities as needed.</li>
<li>CPR certification is strongly preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.</li>
<li>We are a 24/7 facility that is open on weekends and holidays, and regardless of weather conditions. Staff are expected to work their scheduled shifts unless otherwise coordinated with their direct supervisor.</li>
