About the Policy &amp; Public Affairs Division and the Volunteer Services Unit&nbsp;
The Policy &amp; Public Affairs (PPA) Division and the Volunteer Services Unit supports the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department by developing and implementing policies, communications, and outreach strategies that strengthen community engagement and operational excellence. The unit analyzes park operations, recreation programs, and policy initiatives; manages legislative and stakeholder communications; and leads volunteer programs that enhance the City’s parks and recreation centers through hands-on stewardship, community projects, and citywide events.
Job Description 
Under the supervision and guidance of the Sr. Community Development Specialist II, the 3374 Volunteer/Outreach Coordinator is responsible to coordinate and manage an area of San Francisco Recreation and Parks volunteer program, such as natural areas, trails, recreational programs, service learning/environmental education and/or parks and provide support to the Policy and Public Affairs Division. The work of this position is mostly done in an office or community setting, but one day of remote work may be allowed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Leads and manages the department’s city-wide volunteer &amp; public affairs programs—including parks, trails, recreation, special events, and environmental education—by setting strategic goals and priorities to ensure programs effectively support the department’s mission and needs.</li>

Role Summary
Rowan Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Community Affairs Specialist to help support community engagement activities for Rowan’s data center project in Temple, Texas. The Community Affairs Specialist is a critical part of the team that works with leadership and subject matter expert teams from across the business to protect and expand Rowan’s portfolio.

 POSITION SUMMARY
 Reporting to the Public Affairs Manager, the Public Affairs Specialist will oversee the organization’s SNAP and nutrition-related advocacy efforts, including by supporting the development and implementation of a SNAP improvement roadmap for Minnesota.
Specifically, the Public Affairs Specialist will identify opportunities to strengthen SNAP and increase enrollment through both administrative and policy advocacy at the state and federal levels. To achieve this, the Public Affairs Specialist will be responsible for convening and communicating regularly with both current and prospective allied organizations and individuals as well as stakeholders within county, state, and federal government to help align efforts and build support for meaningful change over time.
Secondary focus will be “food as medicine” policy work. The Public Affairs Specialist will also support broader lobbying and advocacy efforts at the Minnesota State Capitol under the direction of the Public Affairs Manager as needed.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Government Affairs Fellow will gain firsthand experience at the intersection of arts, culture, and public policy. Working alongside the Chief of Staff and the Government and Administrative Affairs Specialist, the Fellow will learn how a major nonprofit theater engages with City, State, and Federal government partners to sustain and grow its mission. The Fellow will have the opportunity to observe and support advocacy initiatives, public funding processes, and civic partnerships that help make The Public Theater’s work accessible to all New Yorkers.
 
Departmental Responsibilities:  
 Throughout their fellowship, the Fellow will:
