Duties:

<li>Monitor the status of defense legislation, pertinent hearings, markups, and floor actions, prepare client staff for congressional hearings, and respond to congressional inquiries. </li>
<li>Review and analyze congressional hearing transcripts and prepare and submit Questions for the Record (QFR) and Inserts for the Record (IFR). </li>
<li>Coordinate with appropriate government officials to obtain review and approval of CYBERCOM initiatives. </li>

Government Affairs Specialist
The Government Affairs Specialist will execute state-level lobbying and advocacy efforts to expand biomarker test coverage and influence payer policies. This role requires a strategic, activity-based approach—engaging with state legislators, regulatory bodies, and patient advocacy organizations to drive coverage expansion.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Develop and execute state-specific advocacy strategies to influence policy decisions related to biomarker testing reimbursement.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain relationships with state legislators, regulators, and key stakeholders to push for favorable policy changes.</li>
<li>Organize and mobilize grassroots advocacy efforts, including working with patient advocacy groups, health coalitions, and physician networks.</li>
<li>Engage in legislative monitoring, tracking bills and policies that may impact the organization's reimbursement landscape.</li>
<li>Draft and coordinate legislative letters and advocacy materials, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate standards.</li>
<li>Support the team in gathering payer intelligence, assisting with payer engagement strategies, and addressing reimbursement challenges.</li>
<li>Execute advocacy events and public outreach programs to enhance policymaker and payer awareness of the need for expanded biomarker testing.</li>

Qualifications &amp; Experience
<ul>
<li>3–5 years of experience in government affairs, healthcare policy, or advocacy (statehouse experience preferred).</li>
<li>Background in legislative affairs, lobbying, grassroots mobilization, or patient advocacy.</li>
<li>Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a track record of building relationships with state legislators, patient advocacy organizations, and healthcare influencers.</li>
<li>Understanding of insurance, reimbursement policies, and Medicaid/Medicare processes is a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to write clear and persuasive policy communications, including legislative letters and advocacy documents.</li>
</ul>

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years &amp; depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. Government Affairs Specialist

Principal Associate, CRA Strategy &amp; Program Management - Data Management Team
Within Capital One, External Affairs (EA) is an organization dedicated to delivering on Capital One's Mission by strengthening our reputation, deepening our relationships in our communities, managing engagement with the federal bank regulatory agencies, and serving as Capital One's voice in the legislative and political processes at the federal, state and local levels. The EA organization comprises CRA Strategy &amp; Program Management, Government &amp; Policy Affairs, Regulatory Relations, Corporate Communications, Community Finance, Community Impact &amp; Investment, and EA Strategy &amp; Engagement.
The CRA Strategy &amp; Program Management team is looking for a self-motivated individual to play a critical role on our Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data management and regulatory reporting team. By assisting in ensuring the integrity of Capital One's regulatory data this individual will be contributing to the company's goal of continuing our track record of outstanding CRA performance. Specifically, the ideal candidate will process and manage these regulatory data, using software tools, and monitor and support their quality assurance in accordance with the team's data compliance and reporting controls.
Responsibilities:
* Use CRA Wiz TM software tool to process and manage and confirm data received from assigned CRA data reporting lines of business 
* Conduct loan file reviews and negative testing to validate accuracy and completeness of data collected for CRA regulatory reporting purposes 
* Work with the lines of business (LOBs) to improve data quality and integrity through the accurate data collection processes and sound operational controls to mitigate risks. 
* Log and track data issues detected during monthly processing and data integrity reviews and work to address and resolve issues with LOB and Technology department (TECH) 
* Assist with preparations related to the annual submission of complete and accurate CRA Loan Registers (LRs) to the appropriate regulatory agency 
* Prepare timely reports on data errors and process deficiencies for distribution to LOB management 
* Analyze data errors to determine trends and monitor corrective actions to measure performance and responsiveness by business units 
* Work with the LOB and TECH to anticipate impacts to data capture and reporting resulting from changes in processes, people and systems 
* Work with large data sets and identify data anomalies using various methods such as trend reports and data filters to ensure the data is compliant
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
* Familiarity with the CRA and HMDA annual submission process 
* Knowledge of the new 1071 rule and the CRA New Rule

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.
