Knox College invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.
This is a 12-month, benefits-eligible position reporting to the Associate Director of Athletics. Anticipated start date is July 2025. The successful candidate will have a focus on supporting student-athlete success and wellbeing in a competitive NCAA Division III program.

dollars raised the past three years.
 
Responsibilities
Assist the Athletic Training department in providing sports medicine services and coverage for 14 varsity sports. This is a 100% Athletic Training role. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: providing practice and event coverage including evenings and weekends, supervision of athletic training facilities and student first aiders. Assistant Athletic Trainer provides care, prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation and documentation of injuries for assigned sport responsibilities. Communication with sports medicine, coaching, and athletic administration staff is expected. Sport assignments and other duties to be determined by the Head Athletic Trainer. 
Additional duties will be determined, in part, by the experiences and strengths of the
successful candidate and may include assisting with game operations and/or teaching a
sports studies course.
Required Qualifications:

<li>NATA BOC Certification. Illinois License Eligible.</li>
<li>Current First Aid, CPR, AED certification.</li>
<li>Ability to work weekends and evenings and flexible hours.</li>

Ability to prioritize weekly and daily schedules over the entire trimester.

The Office of Civil Rights &amp; Title IX Compliance oversees the College’s compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements related to equal opportunity and non-discrimination, including but not limited to ADA/504, Title IX, Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and Illinois Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education Act. The Office also has the responsibility to ensure compliance with the Stop Hazing Act. The Office reports to the Interim VP of Student Development. This position would supervise the Civil Rights Program Coordinator.
 
The Deputy Director/Interim Director assists with the implementation of a college-wide strategic plan focused on delivering education, training, and prevention programming and centralizing reporting processes, ensuring timely, fair, and appropriate responses to all reports. As a critical contributor to the college’s efforts to achieve inclusive excellence, the Deputy Director/Interim Director serves as a resource for the college community on the issues addressed and support provided through the Office of Civil Rights &amp; Title IX Compliance.
 
Essential Duties

Assist with the implementation of a college-wide strategic plan to ensure compliance with all state and federal civil rights and equal opportunity laws and regulations,including the implementation, and monitoring of appropriate policies, procedures, and resolution procedures.

Coordinate the development and delivery of college-wide education, training, and

prevention programming related to antidiscrimination and hazing laws and policies.

Create and disseminate educational materials, including brochures, posters, and web-based materials that inform members of the community (students, faculty, and staff) of their rights, responsibilities and available support resources.

 Be an active and engaged member of the campus community who regularly participates in the life of the College and builds the relationships necessary with members of the campus community to instill a sense of trust, respect, and professionalism for the position.

Ensure prompt, effective, and equitable intake and resolution of all complaints of bias, discrimination, harassment, and hazing, including responding to reports made through online platforms. This includes:

Hiring and overseeing investigators and hearing officers as needed;

Summary:
Primary responsibilities include cleaning duties in assigned areas following the standards set by the College. Typical duties include dust mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, dusting, waxing, cleaning restrooms, removing trash, polishing furniture, cleaning high places requiring the use of ladders and extension poles, using motor-driven equipment to strip, scrub, and polish floors, vacuuming and shampooing the carpet. Knox invites applications for the part-time, 12-month position of Campus Safety Officer. This Campus Safety Officer will work on an as-needed basis up to 24 hours per week, which may include any shift, including nights, weekends and/or holidays. This position reports to the Director of Campus Safety. Essential Duties:

The Prairie Fire basketball program recruits locally and globally, as the team consists of student-athletes from all over the country and world. 
 
Knox athletes are student-athletes with a focus on achievement in the classroom, on the court or playing field, and as community and campus leaders. Institutional support for enhancing intercollegiate athletics is strong and the K Club booster organization has been very active in recent years with a significant upward trajectory both in engagement and dollars raised the past three years.
 
 
 
Responsibilities
The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of the Knox College Basketball Program including but not limited to: executing a successful recruiting and retention plan; integrating the program into the campus community; scheduling, planning, and supervising practices and contests; team travel; managing the program operating budget; developing cultural competence within the basketball program; fully supporting Knox College and Prairie Fire athletics department diversity and inclusion initiatives; fundraising; administering all aspects of the program ensuring compliance with departmental, institutional, Midwest Conference (MWC), and NCAA rules and regulations; participating in alumni and booster engagement, including promotion of program on social media platforms; and additional coaching and administrative duties as assigned. The Assistant Coach must also provide support and encouragement and ensure the safety and well-being of the student-athletes. Additionally, the assistant coach will work closely with the grounds department to care and maintain the playing field.
 
Additional duties will be determined, in part, by the experiences and strengths of the successful candidate and may include assisting with game operations, sports information, or facility management.

Responsibilities
 The Campus as a Living Lab Coordinator is responsible for supporting the ongoing initiatives in the Office of Sustainability. These include existing programs, such as the Knox Farm, Share Shop, Bike Shop, and Traditional and Nontraditional Recycling. Also, the Living Lab Coordinator will work with the Director of Sustainability in planning and implementing campus events, such as Race to Zero Waste Campaign, Move Out, Earth Month, New Student Orientation, and Sustainability Tours on campus. One essential role will be collaborating with the Director on the collection of data of these programs and events, and the development of subsequent reports, communications, and presentations.
 
Additional responsibilities will include working with the Director to design and implement new strategies for increasing sustainability initiatives on campus through expanded curricular connections, improving efficiencies and better coordination in managing resources, and encouraging greater participation among students, staff, faculty and administration in these programs.
