As a faculty member at the World Maritime University, the Assistant Professor is expected to provide teaching/mentoring and research and publication and promote inter-university cooperation in areas related to maritime economics and management.
The Assistant Professor of Maritime Economics and Management is expected to contribute to the overall efforts of WMU to strengthen the economics component in its academic programmes. This position is therefore open to candidates with a wide range of interests and expertise in economic and management matters related to shipping and port operations and management. Areas of focus of potential candidates for this position may include, among others, maritime economics, business, and management.
Responsibilities

<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Infor CloudSuite with other enterprise peripheral applications such as a Warehouse Management System, Product Information Management System, or other relevant applications</li>
<li>Leverage APIs, EDI, and other middleware tools to enable seamless data exchange across various platforms or trading partners</li>
<li>Serve as the technical lead on ERP-related projects, working with external consultants to identify the source of issues and work out a timely resolution</li>
<li>Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and project timelines</li>
<li>Create a Self-help manual and context-sensitive help</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the ERP environment, minimizing system downtime</li>
<li>Provide ongoing support and assist the training team on end-user training</li>
<li>Work closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements</li>
<li>Translate business needs into technical specifications</li>
<li>Maintain detailed technical documentation, including solution designs, code changes, and testing protocols </li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in ERP programming, with at least 3 years specializing in Infor CloudSuite or other Cloud based ERP solutions</li>
<li>Proven expertise in Infor ION, Mongoose Framework, and Infor OS</li>
<li>Strong understanding of ERP processes, including finance, supply chain, and manufacturing</li>
<li>Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, .NET, SQL, and scripting tools</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with API integrations and web services (REST/SOAP)</li>
<li>Familiarity with database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle) and reporting tools (DBeaver, Cognos, Phocas, etc.)</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment </li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Infor CloudSuite certifications (e.g., Infor Certified Technical Specialist)</li>
<li>Experience in cloud migration and SaaS ERP environments</li>
<li>Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies </li>
</ul>
