The Opportunity The ASPCA seeks a mission-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its enterprise- wide financial strategy, investment oversight, and real estate functions.  Manage Finance &amp; Real Estate Functions

<li>Oversee all core financial operations: accounting, FP&amp;A, treasury, payroll, procurement, and travel and expense functions. </li>
<li>Partner with the CEO and CLO in Audit Committee engagement, and partner with the CEO and CDO in Finance Committee engagement. </li>
<li>Partner with ASPCA's external investment advisor, in conjunction with the head of FP&amp;A, to manage a$450M+ reserve portfolio in accordance with Board-approved policies and long-term objectives. </li>
<li>Manage the annual audit process and preparation of IRS Form 990, in collaboration with the Controller and external audit firm. </li>
<li>Oversee relationships with the ASPCA's banking partners, managing a $25M line of credit and term loan funding with sound debt and liquidity planning. </li>
<li>Oversee the real estate function to deliver facility renovations, and new facilities as needed, on time and on budget, in compliance with regulations, aligned with strategic priorities, and in partnership with the Facilities Department. </li>
<li>Manage capital projects, acquisitions, and leases to ensure alignment with programmatic and operational needs. </li>
<li>Engage internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver cost-effective, high-impact financial and real estate outcomes. </li>

The Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) seeks to appoint an assistant or associate professor on the tenure track to teach, conduct research, and engage with practitioners in the interdisciplinary field of real estate. The successful candidate will play a major role in Harvard’s new one-year Master in Real Estate (MRE) degree program, which covers the traditional skills and knowledge required of all real estate professionals as well as ways in which well-designed real estate can advance beneficial spatial, social, and environmental outcomes. Candidates for the position may have educational backgrounds in a variety of fields such as finance, planning, law, economics, design, engineering, or other related fields, and are expected to have a Ph.D. or comparable terminal degree. About the Positions
To meet areas of university strategic growth in global graduate education and impact, New hires will join an excellent, experienced and dynamic faculty and staff highly committed to exceptional education and student experience, the School for Professional Studies at Saint Louis University is seeking multiple, full-time faculty in the areas of information systems, cybersecurity, analytics, research methods and related disciplines.
All are open-rank, non-tenure track full-time faculty positions, with a nine-month contract running from August to May (renewed annually, with multi-year contracts possible after the first year). Candidates will teach up to seven graduate-level courses during the daytime with the bulk of the teaching occurring on campus. However, there is the possibility to teach select online sections if need dictates. There are also potential summer, flexible, online teaching opportunities.
As these are primarily teaching roles, research is supported but not required. However, active researchers and those with grants may be eligible for a reduction in teaching load. For interested faculty, potential or partial reduction in teaching load to maintain industry/professional practice in related area of expertise is an option. Additional expectations include limited service to support the program and School for Professional Studies as assigned by the appropriate Program Director in consultation with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.

The Department of History at Santa Clara University,a Jesuit, Catholic university,&nbsp;seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship (full-time) in the history of the American West with research and teaching interests in the history of technology in the 20th and 21st centuries, the history of California, and/or the history of Silicon Valley, to begin fall 2024. Applicants are strongly encouraged to discuss how their research and teaching intersect with and leverage our location in Santa Clara Valley on the site of the historic Spanish mission Santa Clara, built on the ancestral lands of the Ohlone and the Muwekma Ohlone peoples. SCU is on the quarter system and faculty are expected to teach 6 courses per year (2 each quarter), assuming they are engaged in an active scholarship program.

We seek a historian who can engage with the broader social, demographic, and environmental forces that transformed the “Valley of Heart’s Delight” into “Silicon Valley.” We are particularly interested in a scholar with expertise in digital humanities and public history. Historians who are able to take a long view of the development of northern California from its earliest and persistent Indigenous inhabitants to the technological transformation of the 20th and 21st centuries are especially welcome. We are also looking for historians who can connect the history of technology and the computer industry to various dynamics of the 20th and 21st centuries that it has affected. Such intersections could include the environmental and social impacts of technological development and modern capitalism; . data justice, surveillance, and control; labor and migration shifts, particularly immigration from Asia; and problems of race and gender equity in technology fields. The successful candidate will be able to help our students critically assess popular narratives about the technology industry and its role in our society and develop a complex understanding of its impact on the social and historical dynamics of the modern world.&nbsp;

The College of Arts &amp; Sciences is currently conducting its third cluster hire in the area of Inequality &amp; Social Justice. It is possible that the person hired for this position will be included in the Fall 2024 cohort if their research/teaching is a strong fit. Cluster hire participants will receive mentorship and regular group meetings providing peer support and an interdisciplinary intellectual community to support their scholarly and creative work.

Teaching

3. Participate in assessment of student learning for courses in the department.
4. Provide informed advice and mentoring to undergraduate students.
5. Fulfill other instructional or academic duties as may be assigned by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences or by the Chair of the History Department.

Research
1. Develop a research program at SCU that will result in the publication of peer-reviewed publications, monographs, and/or creative work per the department scholarship standards.
