Business Office&nbsp;- Responsible for the accurate accounting and budgeting of appropriated and non-appropriated funds to include payroll and student accounts. Human Resources&nbsp;- Responsible for talent acquisition, salary administration, employee training, and appropriate application of&nbsp;&nbsp;HR policies, procedures, and practices. May coordinate on the process of position creation and management. Student Financial Aid&nbsp;- Responsible for accurate accounting and disbursement of student financial aid; federal funds, scholarships, grants, waivers, and awards used by students for tuition, books, and fees. The Department of Religious Studies at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit, Catholic university, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor in theological and social ethics, to begin Fall 2024. Areas of specialization are open, but they should complement existing SCU faculty strengths; specific areas may include political ethics; economic ethics; ethics of globalization; war and peace; human rights; conscience; environmental/sustainability ethicsor bioethics/public health ethics. A strong candidate will offer evidence of engaging social issues from within the Christian tradition (broadly understood) using constructive and contextual methodologies. Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with and an ability to engage Catholic Social Teaching as well as a strong knowledge of the philosophical and theological dimensions of the current scholarly field of ethics nationally and/or globally. In addition, candidates should demonstrate research and teaching interests that bridge more theoretical ethical approaches (religious and philosophical) with pressing social, political, and cultural issues. Successful candidates will demonstrate that they pursue their scholarship and teaching within a framework committed to the goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
a.&nbsp;&nbsp; Teach classes as assigned and demonstrate a command of the discipline and skill in presenting it effectively in the context of an integrated education.&nbsp;
