What You Will Do:
The Hospital Admissions Representative is responsible for obtaining and verifying demographic information, insurance benefits and eligibility. Assigns the correct medical record and account number; therefore, providing a database which ensures accurate billing and clinical information.
What You Will Do:
The Hospital Bed Board Coordinator (Part Time) will regulate bed availability throughout the hospital.&nbsp; Bed Board Coordinators function as key associates overseeing bed availability hospital-wide. Admissions, transfers and discharges will be monitored in real time to facilitate effectual throughput and patient flow.&nbsp; 
Shift: NIGHT Shift (ex: 11:00PM-7:30AM), with rotating weekends &amp; holidays

Monitors admit status of patients from the ED to the inpatient/Observation setting.

Duties (include but not limited to):

REPORTS TO: Director of Accounts Relationship
LOCATION: Los Angeles, Ca 
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
SALARY: $20.00 Hourly Rate 
PERTINENT INFORMATION:

Intake Coordinator
The Intake Coordinator will manage the referral process serving as a liaison between the hospital social workers and the NHF Recuperative care staff, ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to our Recuperative Care Program. They will assure information is gathered from hospitals accurately and thoroughly according to established program policies. They would be tasked at fostering a positive and collaborative partnership with our partners, providing quality customer service and clear and effective communication. 
Responsibilities and Initiatives
To help NHF meet its growth goals, the Intake Coordinator will:
<ul>
<li>Serve as point of contact for social workers on referrals, providing internal and external updates on referral status. </li>
<li>Create and initiate client file, ensure referrals are documented correctly and in a timely manner into a database, confirming that our Guest Services Associates, Nursing and Social Services team have been updated. You’d be tasked to finalize the referral by communicating directly with the Interdisciplinary team.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with team about referrals and admissions. </li>
<li>Build trusting relationships with hospital partners and community partners. </li>
<li>Deliver excellent customer service and exercise good judgment with a compassionate, positive attitude while managing a population of clients who may be experiencing difficult life events, such as homelessness, unemployment, addiction recovery, health issues and/or poverty. </li>
<li>Support marketing efforts that help promote services, educate stakeholders, and identify new opportunities (i.e., conducting in-service trainings and site visits, following up on marketing leads, preparing marketing materials and presentations, retrieving success stories, coordinating webinars, updating databases and spreadsheets, and creating reports and dashboards). </li>
<li>Maintain guest census roster and ensure intake/discharge.</li>
<li>Handle insurance care coordination for our guests in conjunction with Social Services department.</li>
<li>Provide input and evaluation of programming for quality improvement purposes. </li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality of patient information. </li>
<li>Work collaboratively with other members of the team, including active participation in department and agency staff meetings and trainings. </li>
<li>Attend and provide information on guest referral, intake, and discharge status during board review meetings.</li>
<li>Project a positive professional image and adhere to organization dress code.</li>
<li>Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes to meet the needs of the facility.</li>
<li>Assist in providing information and support to the team.</li>
<li>Must be able to aid other NHF facilities as assigned by supervisor when the need arises.</li>
<li>Complete additional duties and assignments as required to meet the needs of the facility, notwithstanding primary roles.</li>
<li>Always follow NHF policies and procedures.</li>
</ul>
Requirements
<ul>
<li>At least 2 years of experience in an administrative support capacity, 1 year of experience in a healthcare or social services setting.</li>
<li>Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite which includes Word, Excel, and Outlook.</li>
<li>Have strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Excellent in multi-tasking; have strong organizational and time management skills.</li>
<li>Experience in medical office/recuperative care setting (preferred).</li>
<li>Familiarity with HIPAA (preferred).</li>
<li>Have friendly and service-oriented mindset. Be people first and be driven by empathy.</li>
<li>Bilingual in a language that is commonly spoken in Los Angeles, other than English. (Preferred, not required).</li>
