Position Title: PELICAN BREWING COMPANY – HOST, 1, 2, 3&nbsp;
Summary of the Position:
Provide excellent and attentive customer service by warmly greeting all guests to the Pelican and assisting in getting them comfortably seated in a timely fashion. Maintain a positive and communicative work environment with fellow team members to ensure guests receive a favorable and memorable experience to develop returning clientele.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Key Accountabilities:
HOST 1

<li>Responsible for providing exemplary guest service, communicating effectively and efficiently with team members. Understands the importance of being hospitable, friendly, and communicative with guests to ensure a positive dining experience at the Pelican.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Communicates effectively with guests upon their arrival about getting them seated and potential and accurate wait times.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

<li>Able to kindly and efficiently answer all phone calls that come to the restaurant</li>
<li>Has proper cash handling skills&nbsp;</li>
<li>Obtains food handlers card</li>
<li>Maintains seating chart and wait times.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintains a stocked and presentable merchandise area.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable work environment.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm with any unforeseen changes.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Assists other service personnel as needed.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Performs all duties in accordance with the Family of Companies and Pelican customer service standard.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Pelican menu items, events, community involvement.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

HOST 2-Proficient in Level 1 duties, plus:

<li>Able to efficiently seat the restaurant using the current seating software program</li>
<li>Can accurately and efficiently take to-go orders using our current POS software</li>
<li>Completed Beer School</li>
</ul>
HOST 3- Proficient in Level 1,2 duties, plus:
<ul>
<li>Obtains OLCC permit</li>
<li>Able to pour beer and sell beer togo</li>
<li>Proper cash handling skills&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Preferred Skills and Experience: &nbsp;

<li>One year restaurant experience&nbsp;</li>
<li>Understanding of restaurant health and safety rules&nbsp;</li>

Provides a professional presence at the front entryways creating an active deterrence to theft by engaging with customers entering the store and exiting from both the interior of the store and the checkout area. Prevents theft through constant awareness of customer activity and urgently engaging with customers to validate receipts and recover unpaid merchandise. Keeps our team members and customers safe by identifying and resolving safety concerns.

What You'll be Doing:

<li>Prevent theft through an active presence and engagement with customers entering and exiting</li>
<li>Respond to alerts urgently to check receipts, recover unpaid merchandise, and resolve alarms</li>
<li>Reduce store disruption following the company de-escalation and negotiation techniques</li>
<li>Document and communicate theft, safety, and alarm activity incidents</li>
</ul>
What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

<li>High school graduate or equivalent.</li>
<li>1-2 years of customer service experience or asset protection experience</li>
<li>Clear and professional written and oral communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to actively move throughout work area for long periods of time</li>
<li>Ability to respond to alerts quickly and urgently</li>
<li>Ability to learn and interact with new and existing technology solutions</li>
<li>Ability to use technology to document and communicate incidents</li>
