Position Summary: The Development Director is instrumental in growing and overseeing LoveYourBrain’s multifaceted fundraising activities. As part of the leadership team and critical thought partner to the Executive Director, the position develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve the goal of 15-20% financial growth annually. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing a nonprofit organizational budget of $1M+ with a diverse portfolio of revenue streams, and must have demonstrated success with:

<li>Major Donors: identification and acquisition of new major donors at the 10K+ level, and stewardship of existing major donor portfolio&nbsp;</li>
<li>Grants and corporate sponsorships: sustaining and securing new grants and corporate sponsors</li>
<li>Events and campaigns: leading strategy and growth of events and fundraising campaigns that include peer-to-peer as a primary revenue driver</li>

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Major and Mid-Level Donor Engagement &amp; Stewardship
<ul>
<li>Lead and cultivate a portfolio of major and mid-level donors ($10K - $99K)</li>
<li>Develop and implement stewardship strategies to strengthen donor relationships</li>
<li>Identify and transition high-capacity donors into principal gifts ($100K+)</li>
<li>Plan and execute donor engagement events and stewardship initiatives (in-person and virtual) to build impactful interactions with donors</li>

Institutional Fundraising&nbsp;

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

The College of Science is seeking a Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position. During busy times, the coordinator will work with the proposal support staff to assist faculty with proposal submissions, including but not limited to budget review/development, budget justification review/development, review of logistical pieces of proposal submission. &nbsp; Assists proposal leads with editing/writing proposals for clarity or offer guidance on strengthening the project description. &nbsp; Revises proposal budgets if requested upon award as needed as a backup to the proposal support staff. &nbsp; Collaborates with the Associate Dean and Director on updating procedures for managing cost share requests. &nbsp; Serves as a backup for the proposal internal review and approval process for proposals submitted to the OSRAA through Cayuse. &nbsp; Collaborates with other units on campus to maintain current information on proposal and award process and policies at the institutional, college and agency level. &nbsp; 10% Professional Development &amp; Other Activities Participates in training and professional development opportunities pertinent to the position, in consultation with and approval by the Associate Dean. &nbsp; Participates in equity, access, and inclusion learning opportunities. &nbsp; Other duties as needed.

Program Coordinator

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Community Partnerships, the Museum Director provides leadership and directs policymaking, planning, organization, staffing, and operations. Montclair State University recently made an exciting announcement that it will receive a $5 million transformational gift that it will use to become an educational partner in the creation and operation of a museum and learning center at historic Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey. The museum is scheduled to open in fall 2023. The Director serves as the spokesperson and chief advocate for the Museum and works closely with the Advisory Board to refine, develop, and implement a progressive program for the Museum’s fundraising, exhibitions, collections management, educational activities, and community outreach. &nbsp;
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works in conjunction with the Board to develop the strategic direction and establish initiatives to fulfill the mission of the Museum and increase local, statewide and national awareness and prominence.

Directs the Museum's operations, to include development, education and public programming, finance, external communications, staffing, and community engagement.
</li>
<li>
Supervises the Education Director, part-time staff, volunteers, and works closely with Montclair State staff and educators.
</li>
<li>
Leads and participates in all fundraising and development activities, including grant writing and developing relationships with foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
</li>
<li>
Serves as spokesperson and chief advocate for the Museum. Establishes strong partnerships in the community.
</li>
<li>
Enhances the Museum’s public image to expand interest and support.Directs the overall development of public relations and marketing initiatives.
</li>
<li>
Develops an effective communications plan to raise the profile of the Museum.
</li>

Manages, secures and maintains the property and facilities of the Museum, including the collections held in public trust.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:&nbsp; 
<ul>
<li>
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
</li>
<li>
Minimum of five years of experience in a museum, nonprofit organization, or related field.
</li>
<li>
Experience providing strong leadership, developing and implementing strategic plans; and growing an annual operating budget.
</li>
<li>
Demonstrated ability to supervise, as well as to work successfully with, museum staff, volunteers, and diverse public constituencies.
</li>
<li>
Demonstrated knowledge of standards and best practices for museums, non-profits, or similar organizations, as well as a history of involvement in relevant professional organizations.
</li>
<li>
Strong record of success in fundraising and audience development.
</li>
<li>
Demonstrated excellence in writing and public speaking.
</li>
<li>
Proven ability to work cooperatively, diplomatically, and effectively with Boards, volunteers, and in community relations and outreach capacities.
</li>
<li>
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and database, email, and calendar/scheduling.
</li>
<li>
Willingness to work a variable schedule, including weekends and evenings when needed.
