Reporting to the Director of Development &amp; Communications, the&nbsp;Major Donor &amp; Institutional Giving Officer (MDO) &nbsp;is a pivotal member of the Development team, responsible for securing philanthropic investment to help advance the organization’s mission of accelerating equitable access to renewable energy solutions. The role leads the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a focused portfolio of major individual donors ($5,000+) and institutional funders—including foundations, corporations, and public/government entities, while coordinating the full grants lifecycle—from prospecting and proposal development to reporting and compliance
The ideal candidate is an experienced relationship-builder and storyteller with a proven track record of successfully securing five, six- and seven-figure gifts and grants, deep expertise in donor strategy, and the ability to translate complex renewable energy and climate justice initiatives into compelling, results-oriented cases for support. Through strategic relationship management and cross-functional collaboration, this position will grow and diversify B.O.S.S.’ philanthropic support aligned to program impact to drive clean energy innovation, strengthen community resilience, support climate justice, and expand equitable access for historically underserved populations.
Minimum Qualifications include (but are not limited to):

<li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;or business administration) required. Advanced degree preferred.</li>
<li>5–8+ years of progressive fundraising experience, including 5+ years in major gifts and institutional giving.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success cultivating and stewarding major donors, closing five, six, and seven figure major gifts and grants; comfort with gift negotiation and structuring.</li>
<li>Advanced proposal writing and case development skills; ability to translate technical clean energy concepts into compelling narratives.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives, presentations, and proposals to engage diverse audiences.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of the nonprofit fundraising landscape, particularly major donor and institutional giving cultivation strategies, grant writing techniques, and fundraising best practices</li>
<li>Proven ability to conceptualize and describe funding needs, including the value of investing in clean/renewable energy sources (especially those provided by Black and Brown people) in a way that is compelling to prospects, donors, Board, staff, and other stakeholders.</li>
<li>Strong grants coordination experience (calendars, proposals, reporting, compliance) with foundations and corporations; familiarity with public/nonprofit grant mechanics.</li>
<li>Strong network of foundation, corporate, and individual philanthropic leaders with interests in racial equity and workforce development.</li>
<li>Passion for environmental sustainability, racial equity, and social justice, with a commitment to advancing B.O.S.S.'s mission and values.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of data utilization and management, as well as the effective use of fundraising technology and data for strategic operations and decision-making.</li>

SEEKING:&nbsp; 
Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre (CVRep) seeks a full time Major Gift Officer to head their fundraising program for the theatre. The successful candidate for this new position will have experience in various aspects of development including major and planned gifts, annual fund, donor relations, corporate and foundation giving and special events. We expect candidates to be prepared to make phone calls, initiate contact with new and potential donors, as well as run planned fundraising campaigns. Knowledge of the Coachella Valley philanthropic community is a plus but not required for this position.
Major and Planned Gifts Development: 
<ul>
<li>Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects by building on existing relationships and forming new donor relationships on an ongoing basis.</li>
<li>Identify and steward prospective new donors. Create lists for new donor prospects and make phone calls to such perspective donors. Cultivate the board and committees, soliciting them for annual support as well as special giving opportunities.</li>
<li>Partner with the Executive Artistic Director (EAD) on donor calls and work to schedule meetings to solicit gifts and engage prospects in the life of the theatre. Work with the EAD to solicit annual support for season sponsorships from individuals, foundations and corporations. Establish a planned giving program for the theatre and utilize these efforts as part of the opportunities available to support CVRep. <li>Develop and implement fundraising strategies to include the development of case(s) for support for specific needs of the theatre and to use as a cultivation and marketing tool with potential donors.</li>

Major Gift Officer experience requirements

Major Gifts Officer education and training requirements

Job Description The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) invites applications and nominations for the position of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). This is a renewable, full-time, non-tenured, administrative position and reports to the Vice Chancellor and Chief General Counsel. The position may be located in either Las Vegas or Reno, Nevada. The NSHE is comprised of eight institutions: two universities, a state college, four community colleges and research institute. The public system of higher education in Nevada continues to experience growth with significant opportunities in serving over 105,000 students and 15,000 employees. The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) provides strategic leadership and input to the Chancellor and Cabinet on NSHE's strategic planning process and administration. The CHRO works directly with NSHE administrators in the development, coordination, implementation and administration of policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with NSHE's mission, values, and talent strategy to support the workforce needs of System Administration, which includes the System Computing Services unit (SA).  RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties of this position will include, but not be limited to, the following areas of responsibility:

<li>Provide overall direction for HR function, including talent acquisition, total rewards, employee engagement and retention, workforce management, HR technology management, learning and development, employee relations. </li>
<li>Direct strategic planning, assessment, and HR audits, and data management; provide effective execution of HR goals from SA's strategic plan; track HR metrics to show value added services; ensure that all aspects of the HR office comply with federal, state law and regulation and BOR/NSHE policy. </li>
<li>Develop and administer HR policies, communicate BOR policies; advise and counsel SA senior leadership and supervisors in HR functional areas; administer SA non-discrimination plan. </li>
<li>Serve as SA Title IX Coordinator; serve as NSHE HR liaison with NSHE institutions on HR policies and practices; serve primary contact with NSHE legal affairs, members of SA senior leadership and supervisors on HR issues; represent SA through participation in HRAC, Title IX, CUPA and SHRM. Serve as HR lead for facilitating the RFP, selection, and contracting process for shared NSHE HR vendors. </li>

 1. In collaboration with the Chancellor and senior leadership establish SA's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. 2. Lead and manage SA's human resource function and evaluate HR program performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement. 3. Act as the custodian of record, overseeing employment, benefits, payroll, and NSHE executive and employee records. 4. Track, manage, and present mandatory reports of HR data and information to the Chancellor and/or Board of Regents. 5. Oversee SA's performance management process and track and manage employee-manager objectives; assist the Chancellor with administering corresponding policies and procedures. 6. Advise SA senior leadership on the people-related aspects of business strategies, ensuring alignment with the HR function and SA workforce needs and goals as well as organizational culture. 7. Oversee complex personnel, employee relations, or disciplinary matters; provide conflict resolution guidance, where appropriate. 8. Analyze need for, develop, implement, and periodically assess SA HR policy, procedures, programs and initiatives. 9. Ensure compliance with Title IX, ADA, VAWA, and other non-discrimination plans, laws, policies and procedures. 10.Oversee SA's recruitment and hiring process; ensure legal/regulatory compliance in selection and hiring. 11.In collaboration with the Chancellor and senior leadership develop employee retention and succession planning strategies. 12.Oversee and ensure effective administration of classification and compensation plan and structures, including periodic reviews and coordination with independent consultants. 13.Analyze the need for, develop implement, and periodically assess SA learning and development programs and initiatives. 14.Oversee and manage accurate reporting of employee data, HR data analytics, and responses to internal and external data requests. 15.Lead and develop a high-performance, service-oriented team that delivers consistent, accurate, and timely service. Supervise NSHE Director of Human Resources, ensuring optimal performance and execution of duties. 16.Participate in and coordinate with the Human Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC) to ensure alignment and consistency between institutions and SA with respect to HR efforts, where applicable. 17.Responsible for financial oversight, planning, budget, and control of HR department. 18.Other duties as assigned. Primary Function:

<li>Makes recommendations on policy issues to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations.</li>

The Research Development Unit (RDU) within the College of Science is focused on accelerating research growth by leveraging college resources to encourage faculty to address grand societal research challenges and target funding opportunities to increase the size and number of competitive research grants in alignment with the Oregon State University’s <a href="https://leadership.oregonstate.edu/strategic-plan" target="_blank">Strategic Plan SP4.0</a>, the college’s diversity action plan, <a href="https://science.oregonstate.edu/diversity-plan" target="_blank">Embedding Equity, Access and Inclusion</a>, and the College of Science’s <a href="https://science.oregonstate.edu/our-college/strategic-plan-2015-to-2020" target="_blank">Strategic Plan.</a> The RDU designs and implements services, using an equity, access and inclusion (EAI) lens to help faculty, staff and student investigators succeed in obtaining and maintaining intramural funding within Oregon State University (OSU), and extramural funding from federal agencies and foundation grants. &nbsp; The Program Coordinator is a member of the Research Development Unit working on complex projects, collaborating with faculty, staff, and researchers across the college and university. The Coordinator will report to the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies (Associate Dean) and collaborate with the Associate Dean and Director of Research Development (Director) to manage, administer and grow the programs within the Unit. The Coordinator will collaborate on activities across the unit and provide strategic input in several areas to increase the success of our research enterprise. Responsibilities include providing leadership and oversight within the Research Development Unit to manage projects, track and report research activities, develop and maintain databases of college proposal submissions and awards, provide data analysis and prepare quarterly reports of proposal submission and award progress in collaboration with the Associate Dean and Director. The Coordinator will collaboratively and independently design and implement workshops and other events and projects to support and enhance our research enterprise and portfolio. The Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Associate Dean and Director to develop metrics, including EAI metrics to assess our research, innovation seed-funding and outreach activities. Works with the Associate Dean and Director to bring research teams together for large funding proposal and supports the proposal submission in coordination with the proposal support staff. &nbsp; Leads, designs and collaborates with the Associate Dean and Director in creating professional development opportunities for faculty, graduate students, postdocs and other researchers in the College for example, grant writing workshops, open forums, and seminars with program managers across pertinent funding agencies. &nbsp; Coordinates the annual spring OSU-OMSI Science Communication Fellowship Outreach Program and other activities with other college staff. &nbsp; Collaborates with the Associate Dean and graduate advisors in leading the selection committee and processes for graduate student scholarships, fellowships and research awards, faculty &amp; staff awards, and related activities. &nbsp; Updates, designs, and implements online templates using the OSU online portal, InfoReady for the college funding and award opportunities, such as the internal funding program, the Graduate student Fellowship/ scholarship application submission process, the faculty/researcher awards nominations, and other applicable opportunities. &nbsp; Supports the administration of small to medium sized research projects across the college and may collaborate and/or participate in the administration of large research projects in the College. &nbsp; 25% Proposal Support Exercises independent judgement and knowledge of best practices in research development and administration. &nbsp; Coordinates with the proposal support staff in assisting researchers with grant applications. Serves as backup to the proposal support staff and provides mentorship and guidance as needed. This includes assisting faculty with proposal preparation and submission from inception to submission. During busy times, the coordinator will work with the proposal support staff to assist faculty with proposal submissions, including but not limited to budget review/development, budget justification review/development, review of logistical pieces of proposal submission. &nbsp; Assists proposal leads with editing/writing proposals for clarity or offer guidance on strengthening the project description. &nbsp; Revises proposal budgets if requested upon award as needed as a backup to the proposal support staff. &nbsp; Collaborates with the Associate Dean and Director on updating procedures for managing cost share requests. &nbsp; Serves as a backup for the proposal internal review and approval process for proposals submitted to the OSRAA through Cayuse. &nbsp; Collaborates with other units on campus to maintain current information on proposal and award process and policies at the institutional, college and agency level. &nbsp; 10% Professional Development &amp; Other Activities Participates in training and professional development opportunities pertinent to the position, in consultation with and approval by the Associate Dean. &nbsp; Participates in equity, access, and inclusion learning opportunities. &nbsp; Other duties as needed.

Program Coordinator

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Community Partnerships, the Museum Director provides leadership and directs policymaking, planning, organization, staffing, and operations. Montclair State University recently made an exciting announcement that it will receive a $5 million transformational gift that it will use to become an educational partner in the creation and operation of a museum and learning center at historic Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey. The museum is scheduled to open in fall 2023. The Director serves as the spokesperson and chief advocate for the Museum and works closely with the Advisory Board to refine, develop, and implement a progressive program for the Museum’s fundraising, exhibitions, collections management, educational activities, and community outreach. &nbsp;
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works in conjunction with the Board to develop the strategic direction and establish initiatives to fulfill the mission of the Museum and increase local, statewide and national awareness and prominence.

Supervises the Education Director, part-time staff, volunteers, and works closely with Montclair State staff and educators.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of five years of experience in a museum, nonprofit organization, or related field.

Experience providing strong leadership, developing and implementing strategic plans; and growing an annual operating budget.

Demonstrated ability to supervise, as well as to work successfully with, museum staff, volunteers, and diverse public constituencies.
</li>
<li>
Demonstrated knowledge of standards and best practices for museums, non-profits, or similar organizations, as well as a history of involvement in relevant professional organizations.

Strong record of success in fundraising and audience development.
</li>
<li>
Demonstrated excellence in writing and public speaking.
</li>
<li>
Proven ability to work cooperatively, diplomatically, and effectively with Boards, volunteers, and in community relations and outreach capacities.
