<li>Coordinate, reconcile, and monitor payment processing of both accounts payable and Bursar's student refund checks and ACH transaction processing.</li>

Role Responsibilities:

General Summary:&nbsp;&nbsp;Under the direction of the University President, the Vice President for Administration &amp; Finance serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the University.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF administers the University budget as well as supervises the Business Office, Human Resources, Office of Financial Aid, Facilities, Security and Safety, and the Office of Information Technology. The VPAF is also responsible for the outsourced Bookstore, general contract administration, regulation administration, The University’s annual budget, fiscal policies, and other services as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;The VPAF works closely with various State of North Dakota governing and regulating agencies.
Primary Responsibilities:&nbsp;
Business Office&nbsp;- Responsible for the accurate accounting and budgeting of appropriated and non-appropriated funds to include payroll and student accounts. Human Resources&nbsp;- Responsible for talent acquisition, salary administration, employee training, and appropriate application of&nbsp;&nbsp;HR policies, procedures, and practices. May coordinate on the process of position creation and management. Student Financial Aid&nbsp;- Responsible for accurate accounting and disbursement of student financial aid; federal funds, scholarships, grants, waivers, and awards used by students for tuition, books, and fees. Chief, Academic Advising and First-Year Programs

Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance at Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) has oversight of the financial, risk management and information technology operations of the organization. In collaboration with the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is delegated a high degree of responsibility to recommend and implement fiscal policies and procedures in partnership with university colleagues to ensure that ASI operates appropriately within the financial policies of the California State University (CSU) Board of Trustees and the University, while sustaining sound business practices, and strengthening the financial health of ASI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Accounting

<li>Oversees the supervision and management of all aspects of the functional areas of the Accounting Services department, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashiering, fixed asset management, internal controls, policy development and implementation, legal, and audit compliance as well as maintenance of the general ledger.</li>

The George Washington University Law Library seeks a qualified librarian for its Assistant Director for Resource Management Services position to begin as early as September 1, 2023. The librarian in this position oversees the Resource Management Services operations, which comprises Acquisitions &amp; Continuing Resources, Cataloging &amp; Metadata, and Library Management Systems (e.g., OCLC, ILS). Resource Management Services provides operational management of workflow processes for physical and electronic materials to ensure that library materials are easily accessible for faculty and student use when searched for in the library's integrated library system.
The Law Library supports the curricular and teaching requirements of the Law School, the research and publication needs of the law faculty, and the study and research needs of the law students; and provides to the scholarly community at large access to a research collection of material about the law and its history. Please note that initially the librarian in this position will be required to work at the university's Foggy Bottom campus in Washington, DC; the ability to work remotely in the future will be assessed and determined by the supervisor in accordance with Law School and University policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Supervises the Resource Management Services Division (comprising the following departments: Acquisitions &amp; Continuing Resources, Cataloging &amp; Metadata, and Library Management Systems), which includes coordinating workflow, training, and evaluation of staff, and oversight of personnel issues within the division</li>
<li>With the other assistant directors and under the supervision of the director, manages ongoing daily activities of the library</li>
<li>Coordinates with the director and other assistant directors in short- and long-range planning for the library, and takes a leading role in creating and implementing library guidelines and procedures</li>
<li>Acts in the stead of the director in his absence, either alone or in cooperation with the other assistant directors</li>
<li>Coordinates with other library departments in connection with Resource Management Services activities affecting those departments</li>
<li>Maintains oversight for the library's integrated system, and works with the library management systems librarian on priorities for technical support issues</li>
<li>Collaborates with librarians with responsibilities related to electronic resources to discuss and resolve problems, review updates, and enhancements affecting the library’s electronic resources</li>
<li>Participates in other university, law school, library activities and/or serves on professional association committees</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Graduate degree in library or information science (e.g., MLS) from an ALA-accredited institution or completion of degree requirements by the time of appointment, and</li>
<li>A minimum of five years of post-graduate degree experience in resource management services with a broad knowledge of acquisitions and continuing resources, cataloging and/or metadata, and library management systems; strong managerial, problem-solving, project management, and communication and writing skills</li>

<li>Leadership skills including ability to mentor and develop team members and to work effectively in a diverse workforce</li>

Assistant Director for Resource Management Services

The News &amp; Content unit of the University of Virginia’s <a href="https://communications.virginia.edu/" target="_blank">Office of Communications</a> seeks a Senior Editor to help us tell the dynamic story of UVA and to advance its strategic priorities through content that engages with and grows a multitude of audiences.
This position would be ideal for a seasoned, mature editor at a daily newspaper, magazine or online publication with significant deadline experience and a track record of working with writers to generate compelling stories and improve copy.
The Senior Editor, reporting to the UVA Today Managing Editor, will oversee several direct reports; edit copy for grammar, accuracy, and adherence to Associated Press and local style; and research and write stories as needed. The ideal candidate will be a sharp-eyed, detail-focused journalist who efficiently shepherds daily stories through the editing process while also taking the time to help writers improve their craft. He or she will be attuned to news and current events and be able to quickly identify opportunities to showcase UVA’s students, faculty and staff in the context of the day’s key stories and issues.
Our Content &amp; News team operates a high-quality newsroom that values timeliness and urgency in its content, and collaborates to produce one of higher education’s most successful news products, and the most important strategic communications platform at the University. The <a href="https://news.virginia.edu/" target="_blank">UVA Today</a> Daily Report is delivered Monday through Friday to more than 150,000 recipients, and our UVA Today content attracts more than &nbsp;5 million page views annually.

Responsibilities:

<li>Edit daily stories for the University’s news outlets to ensure UVA Today’s writing is concise, compelling, and accurate.</li>
<li>Supervise and coach writers.</li>
<li>Assist in story planning so content aligns with and advances UVA’s strategic priorities.</li>
<li>Collaborate with University News &amp; Content colleagues to ensure that storylines selected for emphasis get maximum exposure through the platforms and products managed in University Communications, including social media, digital marketing, and paid content.</li>
<li>Foster productive working relationships with sources across Grounds for coordination, story mining and proactive media relations.</li>
<li>Track owned and earned media progress and measure success using metrics gathered by tools such as Google Data Studio, Parse.ly, etc.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
