<li>Distribute and post agendas for meetings as required by Nevada Open Meeting Law. </li>
<li>Serve as the initial contact for processing student requests for Millenium Scholarship extension appeals. </li>
<li>Assist the Vice Chancellor with processing institutional requests for Temporary Part-Time Teaching Faculty - Requests for Exception to Limitation to 75 Percent of FTE per semester. </li>
<li>Coordinate communications between the Vice Chancellor and the members of the Chancellor's Cabinet, Vice Chancellors, Presidents, Regents, Faculty Senate, government officials, community leaders, students, faculty, and staff. </li>
<li>Coordinate communications with external entities, including but not limited to institutional administrators, Nevada Department of Education administrators, Nevada school district superintendents, WICHE, etc. </li>
<li>Coordinate and maintain the daily and long-term schedule for the Vice Chancellor. Make decisions relating to the coordination of meetings, conferences, travel, and standing meetings. Exercise good judgment for optimum utilization of the Vice Chancellor's time. </li>

Oregon Institute of Technology (Oregon Tech) seeks applicants for a full-time, 12 month Academic Affairs Budget Director in the Office of the Provost. The Academic Affairs Budget Director will lead the development of and provide responsibility for fiscal budgeting and planning functions within Academic Affairs as well as advising the Provost. Responsibilities will include preparation, analysis, review and reporting of Academic Affairs budgets for all funds, preparing complex analysis and providing timely, reliable and accurate data to the Provost to assist in decision-making. Under supervision of the Provost, the Director will advise senior management on fiscal impacts in the Academic Affairs division and will manage academic tracking and forecasting, commitments and expenditures and identify potential improvements of the academic budget administration. The Director will serve as the academic affairs liaison with the University Budget Office and provide budget training and guidance to the colleges and departments. Other responsibilities of this position will include assisting with the&nbsp;ATS&nbsp;system and communicating with departments regarding position budgets. The Director may also supervise Office Managers within the academic units. This position requires integrity and confidentiality as the Director will have access to sensitive data. Additionally, the position requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to make thoughtful, independent decisions for routine and non-routine decision-making. The ability to work independently, manage and prioritize multiple tasks and have strong organizational skills are required.

The Position: The Vice President for Finance and Administration/CFO (VPFA) reports directly to the President and is a key member of the President's leadership team. The Associate Dean is a leadership partner to the Dean. The College is currently accepting applications for the position of Career Coordinator/Academic Advisor. This is a full-time partially funded by the Carl D. Perkins Grant, Non-Teaching, Non-Tenure Track position that will begin immediately and continue as long as grant funds are available to support this position. Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm on campus. Evening hours as needed.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Dean of Students, the Career Coordinator/Academic Advisor is responsible for providing career development resources and programming to students with a focus on occupational majors. This is to include administration and interpretation of career inventories, development of workshops and presentations, cover letter and resume review, and leading mock interviews. In addition, they will serve as a liaison between administration, faculty, and community members as it relates to business and industry trends. They are responsible for sharing the results of the evaluation of career initiatives for continuous improvement. As a member of the College’s advising team, the Career Coordinator/Academic Advisor position also provides general advisement to students, both individually and in small groups. 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required. Master’s Degree from an accredited institution required. Preference given to the following degrees: Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Student Affairs in Higher Education, or related field. Experience in career counseling, academic advising, or teaching required. Two years’ experience in higher education preferred. Experience working at a comprehensive community college preferred. Technical skills to learn and use online tools and administrative software required. 
Salary:
Salary ($43,000-$45,000) and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
