With responsibilities across admissions and student services, the person in this Research Scholar appointment will serve as the Assistant Director, participating in the recruitment and selection of the highest caliber graduate students for our post-JD degrees, playing an active role in advising incoming and current students, and develop, implement and assess programs that enhance our LLM students’ experience. You also will propose and implement student communication initiatives—including web, email, guides, and presentations—that integrate steps along the journey from application to graduation.
In Graduate Admissions, the Assistant Director reviews and evaluates domestic and foreign education credentials, and participates as a member of the Admissions Committee. You also will represent the Law School and its programs to applicants at virtual and international recruitment events, engaging with alumni globally.
In the Office of Graduate Affairs, you will serve as a critical information resource to students on curricular and co-curricular opportunities; you will advise and counsel them on academic matters, workload strategies, and cultural adjustment. You will interpret, learn, and apply academic policies. You also will develop and help implement programming that fosters community building, and students’ academic success and professional development.

Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership:

Qualifications

About the Opportunity

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
Skilled, Independent Contractor will provide trauma-informed therapy to underserved populations community-based mental health outpatient clinic and in school-based outpatient satellite sites. This includes mental health assessment and treatment of a diverse caseload of children ages 4 to 17 experiencing a variety of behavioral health issues.
FUNCTIONS:
<ol>
<li>Provide weekly client-centered, trauma-informed, individual, group, and family therapy as per the specifications outlined in the contract.</li>
<li>With client consent, make concerted effort to engage identified support system in treatment.</li>
<li>Provide initial and ongoing assessment of presenting issues, diagnostic impressions, and recommended course of treatment. </li>
<li>Create treatment plan and routinely monitor progress in collaboration with client.</li>
<li>Manage own tax and financial affairs. </li>
<li>Coordinate care with other involved professionals to ensure continuity of care.</li>
<li>Enter intake and therapy appointments into EMR at least 48 hours in advance.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of performance metrics and time spent including minimum billing expectations commensurate with scheduled hours. This includes entering progress notes within 3 days of service, including supportive documentation (e.g., treatment plans, safety plans, case management notes, briefs, triage notes, discharge summaries, no show or cancellation notes).</li>
<li>Encourage consistent attendance by routinely reviewing attendance policy and providing weekly reminder calls. Discharge inactive cases in a timely manner to promote access. </li>
<li>Refer for community resources including expanded mental health programming as needed.</li>
<li>Provide crisis intervention including safety planning as needed. This includes follow up and coordination of care when individuals go to the CRC or acute level of care. </li>
<li>Complete all mandatory training to maintain state, CBH, and NIAC credentialing. This includes obtaining EBP training or other training as requested and actively participating in appropriate EBP consultation group(s), that are held for one hour/month (if applicable).</li>
<li>Communicate regularly with clinical supervisor to discuss current caseload, weekly productivity, and any relevant clinical or administrative questions or concerns to ensure the delivery of services accordingly.</li>
<li>Function in full compliance with all agency policies/procedures and federal, state, and local laws.</li>
<li>Participate in Interact’s Compliance Program, including reporting suspected violations of the compliance program or applicable laws or regulations to immediate supervisor or Deputy Director of Continuous Quality Improvement.</li>
<li>Maintain necessary clearances, continuing education, licenses, and certifications to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.</li>

FUNCTIONS SPECIFIC TO SCHOOL BASED:

<li>Provide crisis intervention to clients within school as needed.</li>

PAYMENT

<li>Agency will provide office space and support services including clinical supervision, administrative assistance, phone and computer, IT support, office supplies, and access to RELIAS for training and professional development.</li>
<li>Contractor will be paid an agreed upon rate per hour for billable services provided.</li>
<li>Contractor will submit invoices for billable services by the end of business day on Mondays. All required paperwork (including progress notes and up-to-date treatment plans must be completed) before the program supervisor will sign-off on invoices. Services delivered without a corresponding progress note or current treatment plan may not be paid. Late invoices (30+ days after service delivery) must be approved by the program administrator.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS:

 (i) Has a graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicum.
 (ii) Has an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). 
 (iii) Is licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience.
