Position Overview
We're currently seeking certified EMTs/Paramedics in the Atlanta, GA area to be an on-site medic for various Events &amp; Venues. Personnels must possess the following qualities: confidence, compassion, exceptional interpersonal skills, effective communicator, and the ability to navigate challenging situations and tasks prioritization. 
These event safety shifts are scheduled as 4-12 hour shifts with a starting base pay of $20/hr, along with a quarterly shift completion incentive, earning up to $1450 per year!

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT &amp; QUALIFICATIONS:
• Successful completion of a MA, LPN, EMT, RN or X-Ray Technology program from an accredited institution

• Must be proficient in venipuncture and injections

Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic Instructor will provide classroom and field instruction to enhance the response in Emergency Medical Care and trauma situations for all military members. All services shall be provided in accordance with established certifications, standards, principles and ethics of the profession and applicable professional specialty organizations including the following: the Joint Commission standards, applicable Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Health Agency (DHA), National Association of Emergency Medical Technician (NAEMT), military specific regulations, directives, and policies, and Medical Training Facility (MTF) specific policies and procedures.

<li>The courses will be held 3 weeks a month, with a one-week break for manikin maintenance, supplies, environment review of the grounds and administrative duties.</li>
<li>Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic Instructor shall provide in classroom and field - education and training to prepare students to assess, advise, and react, effectively during emergency and/or trauma situations. Curriculum for EMT's and LVN, will be provided by the government. </li>
<li>Training manikin checks and safety walk around of the field areas.</li>
<li>Provide a nursing overview for competencies. The course is designed for all different Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) and having clinical personnel will buffer technicians with a para-professional person.</li>
<li>The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic Instructor shall facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to training in trauma care, quality, and cost effectiveness. The required outcome result is to enable the Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic to react quickly and efficiently to real world emergency situations, when encountered with obstacles, by using the tools available in the performance measures. Instructor may assist in the development of the Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA). </li>
<li>The program coordinator shall advise and assist the instruction provided by other healthcare professionals. </li>
<li>Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes. </li>
<li>Provide safe training environment - identify, track and report all safety hazards within the field training area. </li>
<li>Assist program coordinator on educational program administrative requirements, to include maintenances of program, course, student/participant records, and preparation and submission of data and reports at the end of each course. Monthly/annual reports will be completed by the program coordinator with the assistance of the instructors. These monthly reports/annual reports are associated with the number of students, number of courses, Air Force Specialty Code/Military Occupational Specialties of the students, equipment usage, test results (pre-test/post test scores); etc. The purpose of these reports are to measure instructors' metrics and validate the programs' efficiency. </li>

<li>The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic Instructor shall provide quality standardized instruction in accordance with the established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the Joint Trauma System/Civilian agencies and MTFs. Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic Instructor will teach per curriculum and demonstration compliance of skills/instruction </li>
<li>Present all course materials in an effective fashion using didactic, hands-on and simulation training modalities. </li>
<li>Provide course oversight for field, including instructional components of the standardized curriculum. </li>

<li>Maintain currency requirements based on certification. </li>
<li>Develop or assist in the creation of marketing materials for conference and education events (i.e. conference brochure) </li>
<li>Participate in continuing professional development programs as appropriate. </li>
<li>Fulfill simulation course and operations for manikins utilized for field instruction. </li>
<li>Verbalize knowledge of emergency response to life threatening conditions and medical response for all point of injuries. </li>
<li>Demonstrate hands-on skills and provide safety environment for students to demonstrate skills. </li>
<li>Demonstrate appropriate operations of all equipment and supplies to include manikins. </li>

Minimum/General Experience:
<ul>
<li>The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic Instructor must obtain and maintain the following courses within 6 months: Trauma Combat Casualty Course (TCCC), Medical Provider Instructor (MPI) Course or Instructor status in any Advanced Trauma Field Training Course.</li>
<li>Three years of experience in the last 5 years as a First Responder or Emergency Department.</li>
<li>Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Paramedic Instructor shall possess and maintain unrestricted license to practice as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Texas. </li>
<li>Must be able to lift 40 lbs and walk up to 200 yards without assistance. </li>
<li>Duties are primarily outside in the environmental elements for example: rain, ice, wind, uneven terrain etc. </li>
</ul>
Minimum Education / Certifications:

<li>Associate degree in healthcare with emphases on training/education is required from an accredited college or university. </li>

Milford Ambulance Service, a municipal EMS third service, has been in operation since 1974. Beginning as a volunteer staff of twenty-seven men and women has evolved to a full-time paid Ambulance Service providing emergency pre-hospital coverage to Milford and the surrounding communities. MAS operates two staffed ambulances and responds to 2,200-plus calls annually. At this time, we are seeking a full-time Director of Ambulance Services.
General: The Director oversees day-to-day operations to include scheduling, resource allocation and maintaining operational readiness. Financial management responsibilities include budgeting, billing and revenue cycle management as well as making recommendations to the Board of Selectmen on department strategies. Job DescriptionAs an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will play a crucial role in providing immediate care and support to patients in emergency situations. Your duties will extend beyond basic first aid; you will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions, administering medication, and utilizing advanced medical equipment to stabilize them after they reach the hospital. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate closely with paramedics, nurses, and physicians to ensure the highest quality care.$10,000 Sign on Bonus Hours: Full-time - Weekend Package (35% increase incentive) Friday - Sunday 7:00am - 7:00pm + some on-call Pay scale ranges from $17.50 - $28.00, depending on role and level of experience and education.
Essential Job Functions, including but not limited to:

<li>Provide pre-hospital care for the ill and injured patients through assessment, intervention, and prompt Ambulance transportation according to the protocols established by the Medical Director, and Iowa EMS scope of practice.</li>
<li>Assures daily ambulance checks of equipment and inventory, re-stocking, disinfecting, cleaning and maintenance of all ambulance are performed.</li>
<li>Maintains ambulances in clean, working order. At each shift, inspects vehicle to ensure that it is ready for service (e.g. brakes, lights, fluids, etc.)</li>
<li>Immediately following a run, re-stocks, and disinfects the ambulance and equipment, completes all run reports (with thorough documentation), dispatch records, and charge sheets.</li>
<li>Cross trains to Emergency Department.</li>
<li>Represents the department and hospital in the community. Participates in public relations activities, including educational programs and providing coverage at community events.</li>
<li>Participate in training, drills, and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills.</li>
<li>Performs all duties in a safe courteous, confidential and professional manner, always taking into account the well-being of the patient.</li>
<li>Assists with patient care in the Emergency Department and other hospital units under the paramedic scope of practice.</li>
<li>Honors patients’ bill of rights and confidentiality.</li>
<li>Participates in emergency response to Code Blue events, Rapid Response requests and provider’s requests.</li>
