The Chief Economist will be a key member of Groundwork’s Policy, Advocacy, and Research team, leading quantitative analysis and economics research for a fast-paced, dynamic shop at the cutting edge of the economic debate in Washington. The Chief Economist will work closely with other members of the team, as well as fellows and outside researchers, to conduct and coordinate original research, analyze economic data, provide internal data guidance, and create clear and compelling written and visual products that support work across all of Groundwork’s programs. They will brief senior leadership and other staff on economic developments in real time, and serve as a top spokesperson for Groundwork in the media and to policy audiences. The Chief Economist will also work hand-in-glove with the communications team to ensure Groundwork’s stances are conveyed with maximal impact and credibility, and that we are deploying the most persuasive and timely evidence in support of our work.&nbsp;

As Chief Economist you’ll…

<li>Provide rapid-response analysis of key economic developments, data, and policy debates to the Groundwork team, partners, and the media</li>
<li>Lead quantitative data analysis for the organization, creating timely, relevant analyses of a wide range of data using Stata, R or Python</li>

The salary range for this role is $160,000 - 180,000. We offer a generous benefits package, including five weeks of vacation and personal leave, two week-long office closures, additional time off for floating and federal holidays, zero-premium health insurance, a generous HRA, a retirement match of up to 6%, up to 16 weeks parental leave, and health club and cell-phone reimbursements, among other benefits. As Senior Economist within NYISO's Market Design department, you will be a key leader shaping the future structure of New York's wholesale electricity markets. DTI supports the Department of Defense and other Civilian federal government agencies providing data analytics, administrative and information technology professional services. DTI is seeking a Labor&nbsp;Economist to collect, analyze, and provide Continental U.S. (CONUS) Cost-of-Living (COLA) and Outside of the Continental U.S. (OCONUS) data. Candidate must have the technical expertise to explain economic trends and changes in non-housing cost-of-living. The candidate will lead a team of 3 (Senior Data Analyst, Economic Research Specialist&nbsp;and Junior Data Analyst).
Job Description:
Determine a representative market basket of non-housing goods and services that are readily purchased (CONUS/OCONUS) based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Consumer Expenditure Survey (CES) Armed Forces extract. This market basket must include the non-housing categories in the BLS CES (e.g., Transportation, Food at Home, Food Away from Home, etc.). The list of market basket items should contain the following details for each item: category, item name, description, quantity, unit, average price without sales tax, and average price with sales tax. Collect market basket price data for CONUS and OCONUS locations. Aggregate data collected across CONUS should be used to compute the average CONUS baseline.&nbsp;The CONUS baseline data should set the standard quantity and unit for each item in the market basket and source prices from multiple vendors in each of the 48 states and the District of Columbia. Data collected shall be based on the market basket, where applicable.
1.1.1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Provide indexes for requested locations based on a comparison to the average CONUS baseline. Data to meet this requirement shall be provided in detailed schedules, supported by an explanatory narrative. Final products shall show cost breakdowns indicating what it costs in each specific location for each major cost category.
1.1.2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The market basket price data should be representative of the typical shopping for a mid-grade uniformed service member with three dependents (a family of four). Items should be moderately priced, excluding prices for generic, organic, bulk, discounted, or luxury items.
1.1.3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Market basket price data should include quantity, unit, and price for each item, and the date(s) the data was collected. In locations where the complete market basket is not available, data collected shall be for as much of the market basket as possible. Adjustments to the market basket may be made only if approved by the Government.
1.1.4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Provide adjustments to the data collection areas when any location other than the one requested is used to determine the costs within an OCONUS or CONUS area. The adjusted data collection areas must be approved in advance by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
1.1.5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; If data is not available for a requested CONUS or OCONUS location, determine an appropriate linkage to an available location based on specific, consistent economic factors.
1.1.6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Upon request, conduct out-of-cycle OCONUS data collections for specific locations to implement mid-year OCOLA adjustments, if necessary, in response to economic shocks, natural disasters, etc. to maintain accurate OCOLA rates.

Location: Assigned to support CEDA WIC Clinics in the West region (zip codes: Oak Lawn 60453, Summit 60501 and Maywood 60153). 
Oak Lawn Base with floating to Summit and Maywood clinics.
Schedule: 8:00a – 4:30p; Tuesday - Saturday some Mondays required (may rotate week to week but will never exceed 5 days); change of schedule based on program needs. 
Purpose: The WIC Nutritionist is responsible for nutrition and breastfeeding assessment and counseling of WIC clients; ensures that the assigned site operates efficiently and effectively, and that all activities are in compliance with DHS and agency policy.
Responsibilities:

<li>Responsible for all WIC clinic functions and ensures all DHS and CEDA WIC policies and procedures are followed. </li>
<li>Coordinates with the WIC Advocate to complete all stages of the client certification process including screening, assessment, counseling, documentation and follow up. </li>
<li>Communicates necessary site, staff and client issues to Supervisor. </li>
<li>Provides nutrition counseling, and breastfeeding counseling when applicable, to all eligible participants at certification and individual follow up visits. </li>
<li>Provides appropriate counseling and follow up to high risk/high priority clients as determined by WIC assessment and adheres to program standards of practice. </li>
<li>Maintains legible and complete client IWIC records, documenting all client educational contacts and pertinent information according to agency standards. </li>
<li>Schedules, coordinates and conducts group and individual nutrition education sessions. </li>
<li>Maintains integrity of EBT card inventory, security, issuance and reconciliation. </li>
<li>Accurately completes appropriate procedures to provide medically prescribed formulas.</li>
<li>Obtains client anthropometric measurements as necessary, utilizing length/height boards, scales, head circumference tapes and non-invasive hemoglobin monitors.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics/Food and Nutrition or equivalent (Home Economist). Must meet Illinois Department of Human Services educational requirements for a Nutritionist.</li>
<li>Experience: At least 1 year of related experience is a plus, especially in a healthcare, nonprofit, or community-based setting. Experience with various socioeconomic populations is preferred.</li>
<li>Training: Must complete breastfeeding education training within the first year of employment; upon completion, you will earn the title of Breastfeeding Support Counselor.</li>
<li>Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry a minimum of 20 lbs.</li>
<li>Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, SharePoint, and Internet. Experience with client management systems is a plus.</li>

The Leasing Specialist role will manage and lead in-person tours for prospective residents and sell the units to encourage application submittal. They will work on improving occupancy and preventing stale units through marketing and analyzing the local market. In addition, this role will help enhance the move-in experience after residents have signed their leases with the Application Admin and enhance the community’s curb appeal.
 
What You’ll Do…
