The Data Collector is responsible for collecting primary, secondary, quantitative and qualitative data through recorded data, statistical surveys and sampling. Also expected to extract relevant and pertinent data,and collect data from primary resources using company systems and software. The data collector assists the business units by creating visual tracking of the information to identify areas of opportunities and achievement of goals and objectives such as on-time production, reduced costs, quality and safety. 
Personalities may include:

<li>Create Pivot Charts and tables for data tracking and reporting </li>
<li>Order and track supplies for department </li>
<li>Administer recognition programs for department </li>

The&nbsp;New York City Youth Risk Behavior Survey (NYC YRBS)&nbsp;is a citywide initiative sponsored by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) to assess health-related behaviors among public school students in grades 6–12. The survey covers topics such as mental health, nutrition, physical activity, substance use, and other behaviors that affect adolescent well-being.
Data from this survey help monitor public health trends, evaluate local prevention efforts, and shape policies and programs that support student health across NYC.
About the Role
We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to serve as&nbsp;Data Collectors&nbsp;during Fall 2025. Data Collectors will be responsible for administering a paper-and-pencil survey to students in selected public middle and high schools. This is a temporary, part-time role with flexible weekday assignments.
Key Responsibilities

<li>Administer student surveys on-site in NYC schools.</li>
<li>Ensure standardized data collection procedures are followed.</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality and protect student privacy throughout the process.</li>
<li>Record and submit daily updates on school participation.</li>

Pay Range: $19.00 - $24.00 Hourly. Pay will be dependent upon experience.
Job Summary:
This is a temporary position. Data collection staff are responsible for traveling to the project sites located within the metro region of the office, to collect data in the field with accuracy while meeting established deadlines using mobile devices provided by the firm or other technological or manual processes.
Essential Functions:
<ul>
<li>In teams of two, travel to field sites to collect and record data as assigned.</li>
<li>Verify data in accordance with specified protocol and uploads data into a computer database.</li>
<li>Review data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.</li>
<li>Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Competencies:
<ul>
<li>Ability to use tablet and app effectively (training will be provided).</li>
<li>Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.</li>
<li>Computer data entry skills.</li>
<li>Attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions.</li>
<li>Must have own transportation.</li>
</ul>

</ul>
Education and Experience:
<ul>
<li>Valid driver's license, in conjunction with successfully passing the Company’s MVR.</li>
</ul>
